This is because there is an art in crafting bestselling titles. There is a special art and skill involved in crafting titles that sell and people will be willing to buy the book just because of the captivating title. Stay tuned. I'm coming back with more. |
To choose the best title for your book will depend on a whole lot of factors. It will depend on how good you are in crafting titles. |
Moneyfem:Yes it's possible. You can publish your book as hard copies (print books) and then still publish it as a digital book (ebook) on Amazon Kindle and other digital channels worldwide. But if you publish it as hard copies, depending on the agreement/contract you had with the publisher, it must not be an exclusive agreement that excludes you from publishing with other publishers. It must be an open contract of non exclusivity. Publishing your book should be handled by professionals who know the nitty gritty and all the intricacies of the business, including all the legal implications of all actions in the publishing business. Don't do it alone. Engage the services of professionals to do it for you to avoid future problems. We are Professional Book Editors and Publishers with many years of experience. If you need any of our services, then get in touch with us accordingly. Kind regards. |
Now how do you choose the best title for your book? The best title that will sell the book? |
So you should be able to narrow down your book genre to any of the categories I listed above. |
So funny no one is commenting as the guy above said. Of course I expected it. But if it's perhaps a topic on Tonto Dike or Toke Makinwa opening their legs and going nude on Instagram, I know by now this thread would have been full of comments! Hmm Nigeria I hail theee! But it can never deter or stop this thread. We shall continue for as long as possible to share this knowledge to those that know the value. Nothing will stop it. This thread will get to 100 to 200 pages no matter how long it takes and we shall continue to impart knowledge about books to people here. Those who know the inherent value in books will surely appreciate it. So stay tuned. I'm coming back for more. |
Stay tuned. I'm coming back for more. Drop your comments and questions. |
So many types or genres and sub genres of fiction, some of which are as follows: Romantic fiction Thrillers Young adult fiction Crime fiction Mystery Detective fiction Fantasy Science fiction Horror fiction Children's literature Political fiction Humorous fiction Speculative fiction Women's fiction Family saga Western fiction New adult fiction Mythopoeia Etc, etc. |
I'm coming. Stay on this thread. |
You need a title so that it can give you a proper direction of the book. You can't write a book without having a title in mind. So you must at this stage brainstorm on your possible titles. Even if you end up not using any of the titles you choose now, it doesn't matter. But just get some possible working titles and write them down. It may not necessarily be the final title but it will guide you in getting the best title later. |
Since you now have your idea, then you have to brainstorm on the title of the book. |
Next after this stage is to brainstorm on other things about the book. |
The moment you've gotten the idea, write it down and note down where it belongs. Ensure you narrow it down to a particular niche. In this case, our genre/niche can be Nigerian politics/Governance/The youth in politics/Sending old men packing from the corridors of power/How the youths can take over government through the ballot box, etc, etc. |
Stay tuned. I'm coming back for more on this lecture series. |
So as I was saying, why is it that it's only old men of 70 years plus, who are supposed to be in retirement, that are leading Nigeria? Old men who don't know how to use computers. Old men who don't know how to use laptops. Old men who don't know how to use smart phone, android, iPhone or tablet. Why? Why? Why? Why all these recycled old men with no ideas on how to move Nigeria forward. They only want to remain in power to entrench their names permanently in government as leaders without positively improving the lives of the majority of Nigerians. So the above is still part of your idea for the book alongside with what I posted above. You're now trying to get more ideas on how to properly stear your book to the right direction. |
Why have the youths been excluded in Nigerian politics? Why is it that it's only old and retired old men and retired generals that have been recycling themselves in office in Nigeria while the youths who constitute the bulk of the Nigerian population are left out in the cold and not given any chance in government? Now what I've stated above could be your idea for a book. I just wrote it as an example. You could start from just those statements above and expand them into a massive book that can earn you millions and billions of naira. Stay tuned. I'm coming back to teach you more on what you need to do next. Stay tuned here and make sure you drop your comments. |
So this is definitely a non-fiction book and the way you write this type of book is not the same way you write a fiction book. |
We're talking about writing a book on Nigerian politics, a book on a Nigerian politician or on any socio political issue happening or that has happened in Nigeria. |
So back to what I was discussing. When you get the idea, how do you convert it into a book? |
Not every Nigerian is negative minded. No. There are so many positive minded Nigerians. That's for sure. |
Those who understand what I'm saying, they know the truth in it. They know it's an indisputable fact. They know it's a good thing to document Nigerian political events in a book for the sake of posterity. |
So before you get your idea for fiction, you must first of all know the type of fiction novel you want to write. |
Chimok:Thanks for your comment. Well I understand your observations. But they may be avoiding it here but some people have actually contacted me via mail. You know it's not everyone who'll like to comment publicly. But there are Nigerians who actually like positive things. It's not all about negativity. |
So when you've gotten the idea, the next thing will be how to convert the idea into a book. This stage is important and delicate to handle. |
So what's the idea for a fiction and how do you do this? We're coming back to it. Stay tuned. Drop your comments. |
The moment you have the idea then you can proceed from there. |
BookEditor:Very very true. Epic comment. No doubt about this. |
