DIKE'S PLIGHT is a story book by FRANK UZOMA AKWARA. Published by BOOKFIELD PUBLISHERS, the book is about Dike Iwuala, a man who was wicked, lazy but clever. He was always concerned with deeds of darkness and evil deeds, but he got his punishments in the end for all that he did. The book is an 84 page story book with settings in the eastern part of Nigeria. It carries a very simple cover design with the image of a muscular man who depicts the main character of the book. Presently, many primary and secondary schools in northern Nigeria and Lagos have adopted the book for use along side recommended texts for literature. It is currently being reviewed by a top newspaper in Nigeria and the Lagos ministry of education for enlistment amongst the recommended reading texts for schools in Literature in English.
