An e-book reader is a portable electronic device that looks like a tablet computer designed primarily for reading e-books and periodicals. You may begin to ask why you need an e-book reader when you've got a laptop computer, a smart phone or an Apple iphone and ipad that can display text on screen for reading purpose. An e-reader offers you much more than the regular computers in terms of portability. You can have several genres at your fingertips even while travelling and makes it easy to purchase new e-books. It also affords you the opportunity to download a free sample chapter to guide your purchase decision. E-book readers let you read without interruptions and distractions from email alerts and notifications. What more? It is easy on the eyes and lighter than most paper books. I attended an enterpreneurial workshop organised by a group of chemist friends. By chemist, I do not mean the patent medicine seller on the street but a person who has studied Chemistry and understands the composition and use of chemicals. I learnt how to produce washing liquid, soaps, detergents, and some cosmetic products. With as little as N5, 000 (Five Thousand Naira), you can start making body jelly and supplying small shops around your area. However, I have only tried producing petroleum body jelly (vaseline) as I found that it is the safest and least hazardous. This can be produced for sale and it is profitable especially during the harmattan season. I bought the materials at the chemical market in Ojota Lagos. Materials: Paraffin wax (1/8 slab) Micro wax (1/8 slab) Petroleum jelly (4kg) Paraffin oil (4 litres) Colour (1 tea spoonful). Colour is optional Perfume oil (100ml) Equipment Kerosene stove or gas burner stainless steel pot Rubber spoon Knife (for cutting of wax) Weighing scale Measuring cup Packaging material See more details here: http://bookconvo.com/how-to-make-petroluem-body-jelly-by-kaybase/

Suicide bombing occurred in the Pakistani city of Lahore just two days before its annual literary festival. Unruffled by the news of the bombing, book lovers came out en masse to the Alhamra Arts Centre, the venue of the three day event. Though held under tight security, it was a bubble of arts, literature and ideas. Would you attend a literary festival in Borno?
