Travel / Lagos Begins Collection Of Levy For Parking Outside Perimeter Fence by booz(m): 11:51am On Aug 26, 2022 |
The Lagos state government has commenced the collection of levies for cars parked outside the perimeter fence of companies. A setback is a minimum distance from a property line to which a building must be set back from a street or road, among others. In a letter seen by TheCable, dated August 15 and sent by Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) to Nellies, a food and snack company, the agency charged N290,000 for parking lots on setbacks. According to the letter, the agency charged N80,000 per annum on three parking slots for off-street with N50,000 as nonrefundable administrative processing fee. The Lagos State Parking Authority, established under the law to consolidate all that relating to parking and its connected purposes with powers and functions, clearly states that the Authority shall, among others, be responsible for all forms of managed parking in the State,” the letter reads. “In view of the above, and in line with the administration’s policy in moving Lagos state towards a 21st-century economy to align with the first pillar of THEME’S Agenda of which transportation is key, your organisation is hereby served this demand notice for the setback parking (Off-Street) in front of your premises before the commencement of enforcement action. “Based on the inspection, we identified three (3) parking slots on your setback at the rate of N80,000 per slot per annum totalling N240,000.00(Two Hundred and Forty Thousand Naira) only. https://www.thecable.ng/lagos-begins-collection-of-levy-for-parking-outside-perimeter-fence/amp |

ASUU has finally agreed to call off its long strike action but reiterated that it will only happen if the federal government meets two major demands The president of ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osedeke said the only reason why the strike will be called off is if the federal agrees to the UTAS payment platform and concur with the 2009 treaty He, however, stated that the agitation against the government was in the best interest of Nigerian students Read more: https://www.legit.ng/nigeria/1478173-finally-ASUU-agrees-call-off-strike-gives-two-major-conditions/ 1 Like |

It's a regular thing along Effurun-Sapele road, those officers would dip their desecrated hands into your luggage for no reason. The last time, the guy tried to distract me, but I refused to be distracted. Who knows what he wanted to plant in my car or luggage. Guys, always triple check their fingers before allowing them to search you and most importantly, for no reason should you be distracted, not even a phone call. |

Family / Re: His Wife Doesn't Appreciate House-keeping Allowance Of N50,000. by booz(m): 9:42am On Mar 24, 2022 |
Quite simple and straightforward, explore budgeting option and bulk purchases. You both sit down and draw a budget of what the available money can afford and learn to buy things in chain-bulk ( because most times you buy in bulk this month might last two months ore more, while some might last a week or two). Buy studying the pattern, you'll know when each item will be due. I only spend on my family with reckless abandon when I have more than excess, outside that we spend on budget. Most times, your wife just wants you to get involved. When you as a husband is involved, you'll see the reality in clarity, you'll be able to judge whether the monthly upkeep will suffice or not. |

Thank you for the response, I quite appreciate. The listed prices is exactly what is confusing me. I plan to set 3/3.5kVA assy, and I discovered that a 3.5kVA pure sine wave inverter (120k)+ 60Amps MPPT CC (90k) = 210k, whereas, I saw 3.0kVA hybrid inverter (50Amps MPPT CC) for 120k on Konga for 120k. If to say the hybrid equivalent in split, 3.0kVA PSW Inverter+ 50Amp MPPT CC, I would still spend nothing less than 170k Skillsnigeria: |

Quite appalling you chose to display the stupidity that runs in your lineage in a public space. With the current global civilization, I still find it difficult to believe that a palace slave like you never heard of'fair hearing'. Rather than your slave master take laws into his own hands, why not sure the poor boy to a law court. You would have sounded wiser without typing anything than the gibberish you spewed up there. I am highly disappointed in the Oba. I once boasted of his profile as a great fit for Nigerian President. But it's quite clear now that Education, experience and exposure cannot be banked on, rather humanity. If the aide was treated well, very much likely he wouldn't steal. |

Travel / What Constitutes A Hotel's Complimentary Items List? by booz(m): 7:41am On Jan 24, 2022 |
So, I lodged in this expensive hotel, I must confess the towels in the bathroom are super duper opulent and exhumes class. But I have read on one thread that, taking items like a towel from a hotel is stealing. However, most of my friends differ on this, they believe I should have taken it, saying it's also a complimentary item. Is it wrong to take an item such as towel home from a hotel, is it a complimentary item? |

Twine traces its history back to as early as 32,000 years ago. Wild flax fibers were used to make twine for clothing, baskets and creating tools. Hunter-gatherers processed flax into strong cords or twine. Archaeologists discovered flax fiber cords in a western Asian cave that date from 32,000 to 26,000 years ago. slowice: 2 Likes |

A third force is coming to take over, read my lips. African Democratic Congress (ADC) would very much likely field Dr. Akinwumi Adesina who will definitely win the election. If you are a visionary youth who's got stuff, get your PVC, join the party, as your services would be required in government. 1 Like |

So, what's happening? There's no alternative to food na... Are people cutting down on intake or what? Just like Solomon had upon his destiny the covenant of abundance, same way a president has the covenant of hardship upon his life. As perfect as Switzerland economy is, if Mr. President takes over, hardship will manifest in a matter of days. Once he was there and again history repeats itself! |
