Business / Re: OPay Warns Customers Against Cryptocurrency And Virtual Currency Trading by boringdraw: 7:22pm On May 03
Well we understand the pressure from the regulatory authorities in wake of the recent naira depreciation. Their blame game never ends. All eyes now on Bybit and Kucoin just like Binance then.

However how do they intend to know which transaction is crypto related or otherwise.

Tinubu promised he will regulate and tax digital assets rather than ban, the opposite seems to be happening.

With our level of technology it's almost impossible for the government to completely ban crypto trading. Besides that is not the solution to the persistent fall in naira value.

Politics / Re: South South Governors Commend President Tinubu's Coastal Highway Project by boringdraw: 9:45am On May 02
Tinubu is playing a long range game with short sighted South South politicians. The coastal road will take 8 years to complete.

Why not start the road construction from Calabar to Lagos? Remember the design has not been approved by BPE and FEC according to the minister. Don't believe the story it's starting soon. How come the Lagos section design was approved and funds voted and released for it?

That way all the business affected in Lagos now can operate and pay taxes for more years before eventually demolition if need be.

Since the road will presumably be half way in the next fours years, South South will be coerced to vote APC or lose out if Tonubu doesn't win.

What if Tinubu loses the next election?

What if Tinubu wins and turn his attention in another big project that benefits his region leaving the South South hanging?

South South should have insisted the road start from Calabar, that way Tinubu will ensure it gets to his region when completed.

His playing a fast one on Nigerians, the are so many on going projects that deserve urgent attention. Starting new projects is where they embezzle alot of money.
Source of current spending is from subsidy removal, Naira float, education subsidy removal and electricity subsidy removal.
At the end of the day life gets harder for the average Nigeria at the expense of highly inflated projects.
For equitable growth and development we need standard and affordable health system and educational system, security of lives and properties and food security.
The Tinubu administration is failing in the above mentioned four areas. Please don't tell me about student loan,
Have a nice day.

Max24:
Where is Tinubu getting money to do all these roads from within 1 year of his being sworn in ? That's the question on my mind these days. No president had been this project oriented in the first year. Not Jonathan nor Buhari. Buhari even spent the first year appointing Ministers. Even though things are tough, infrastructural development is ongoing. We need to find ways to key in to all these developments. Intelligent people will key in to these opportunities being created and leave unintelligent ones to be crying and wailing online about everything.

You clearly missed the part he said he has more savings by month end, and a more quality life than when he was here.
His a first generation migrant, his children will be second generation, they will have it far much better and easier than him. Most people migrate for thier children.

Points to Consider when relocating
1. Net savings after tax and monthly expenses
2. Quality of life
3. Personal career prospect and that of other family members
4. Life in retirement

Ghanaian women are heavily endowed at the back. However it's not a justification for the inattentiveness by drivers. What will South African drivers do then.

Heavy fine will deter them. I am interested in the research as well.

Business / Re: CBN limits Dollar Purchase From BDCs: $10000 For School Fees, $5000 For Medicals by boringdraw: 5:20pm On Feb 26
OP whats your source. Propaganda at its peak

The government is playing a fast one on Nigerians.
CBN doesn't have cash to intervene in the BDC sub sector to increase liquidity.
Look closely at the timing.

NLC protest = Monday - Tuesday
MPC meeting = Monday - Tuesday
BDC funding = Monday- Tuesday

Only circular from CBN is the proposed recapitalization of BDC's into tier 1 (N2 billion)and tier 2 (N500 million)

How much is a Microfinance bank license that a aboki will go and keep 50m as cautionary fee for tier 2 BDC and 200m for tier 1 with CBN?

The propaganda is geared towards taming the escalating price of forex in the different markets.
