Are your apps written in java fully? and do you use any extra libraries becaue man they look a little too cool than the normal default android buttons, etc.

I target some keywords that are related to my app that can bring organic downloads.

But it is very hard now because of the amount of app in Play Store and the competition.

One of my apps will get to 500,000 download this week (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.toscanyacademy.completechemistry). So I do cross promotion with new apps.

Like I published my newest app November, 2015 and since then it has like 15,000 downloads. So it is hard.

Some big companies that have the budget purchase installs

seeing that this new itels with lolipop, having 1gb ram, 8gb internal and quadcore processor. it should be possible to port an update to kitkat versions.

Other than the phone name, I would say with 1 gb ram, 4cores 1.3ghz cpus((speedtrum)), 5mp back and 2mp front camera.... for a very cheap price isn't very bad. Bet if it was called Samsung instead of iTel people would flock for it.

Funny. Gingerbread was good in its time, but it experienced lots of lags, on top of that it was as ugly as hell. Scrolling was not very smooth and there was a huge gap between android and ios experience. Ics is the version that closed the gap between android and ios with a more beautiful interface and smoother scrolling. why don't I try running ashpalt 8 or mortal combat x on gingerbread.

I actually played Asphalt 8 on my Tecno n3, didn't lag. And only 512 mb ram 1ghz core.

To me gingerbread was the boss. Runned on ram as low as 250mb and people could play temple run with 1ghz single core without lags. But this changed after android 4.0+
