A student of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), Chukwudumebi Oruche, has developed a new study application aimed at helping students better understand difficult courses, especially Engineering Graphics and Solid Modelling (GET102).

The app, called EngX Academia, was built to address a challenge many students face with understanding technical courses that are often difficult to grasp through lectures alone.

According to the developer, the idea came from personal experience during his first year at FUTO, where he struggled with GET102 and wished there was a simpler, step-by-step learning approach available for students.

In response, he began building the platform earlier this year alongside a small design and development team.

Chukwudumebi Oruche currently serves as the Director of ICT for ASICTS (Association of Information and Communication Technology Students, FUTO), where he has been actively involved in technology-driven initiatives and digital innovation within the student community.

EngX Academia includes features such as:

• Video tutorials breaking down GET102 topics in a simplified way
• AI-powered assistance to help explain difficult concepts
• A built-in GPA and CGPA calculator
• Learning tools focused on improving understanding rather than memorization

During the early stages of development, the team reportedly had to structure educational content from scratch while simultaneously building the platform itself.

The application was officially launched a few days ago and is currently available on the Play Store.

While still in its early phase, the project aims to improve access to simplified learning materials for students dealing with challenging technical courses like GET102.

Speaking on the project, Chukwudumebi Oruche noted that the platform is still evolving, with continuous improvements being made to both the learning content and overall user experience.

He also expressed appreciation to his team for their contributions in design, development, and execution.

The platform is currently averaging about 10 active users per day organically, even with zero marketing spend.

Over the last week, we had 67 active users, with the majority of traffic coming from Singapore, China, and the US.
