Celebrities / Tboss Is Ready To Do 'anything' For 25 Million Naira by BounceNigeria: 10:00am On Mar 22, 2017
TBoss is now fighting for the 25 million Naira and brand new SUV.

The Big Brother Naija House mate who normally isolates herself from others, and never forgets to remind everybody within ear shot that she is older than them, did the unbelievable.

On Tuesday, she held Bally tight around the waist, and kept laughing (First Time Ever).

She took the Bisola route and bit Bassey on the arm (Another First).

She sang along with Debby Rise and without the other housemates joining in (Never happened before).

She even complimented Efe and was interested in the floor tennis he was playing with Marvis (Never happened before).

She was even cracking lewd jokes like ‘Floor Penis’ (I am still in shock).

The new change came after TBoss complained to Bassey that no one liked her in the house, and Bassey advised her to improve her personal relations.

Will this new strategy save her from being evicted?

She is up for eviction alongside, Debby Rise, Bally and Bassey. They were all nominated by Efe who is the Ultimate Head of House

Family / The Death Of Fun In #lagos? Lagos Bans Live Band At Beer Palours, Restaurant. by BounceNigeria: 6:46pm On Mar 21, 2017
If you are a Lagos baller, just imagine your Friday night without your favorite tungba band jamming some local tunes in your ears as you enjoy your beer and peppersoup.

That is exactly what will happen with Lagos State Government banning live bands at various beer parlours, restaurants and food joints.

Before you say ‘thank God I am not the social type’, please note that the new law applies to religious organisations as well.

Yes your church and mosque are not excluded.

Religious houses must now procure sound proof to reduce the effect of noise generated on their neighbouring residents.

So, whether you spend your Friday night at the bar or at the church, your hosts must receive you quietly.

Any church, mosque, bar or restaurant that flouts the law will pay a fine of 500,000 Naira.

The government says this is to curb noise pollution with increasing rate of petitions by residents, who are lamenting cases of frequent disturbance.

The General Manager‎, Lagos State Environment Protection Agency, LASEPA, Adebola Shabi, warned that ‎any complaint from the residents henceforth will lead to sanction.

“They must obtain permit to do so and failure to obtain permit, the fine is N500,000. We must discourage needless noise making at our residences,” he said.

He added that while "new churches to be built must come and get a sign-off from the agency, the old ones should start putting sound proof now” and it must be acoustic.

He also condemned the conversion of residential areas to commercial areas without government’s approval and the practice of parking vehicles on the street for too long.

He vowed that the government would no longer tolerate this.

No Nigerian city can rival Lagos with its night life culture but it appears Lagosians will now seek fun on the outskirts.

The dispute is over the death of a cow belonging to the herdsman.

The deceased had earlier been warned not to accommodate the herdsman who has many cows in the area.

Trouble started when the cows ate some tubers of yam belonging to Aliu, which resorted into a quarrel between him and his tenant.

Aliu was on his way to the police station to report the matter when the herdsman attacked and killed him.

The killing as led to a heightened tension between the indigenes of Igbeti in the Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State and the herdsmen in the area.

Although, the Police Commissioner, Mr Abdullahi Chafe, defended the action, saying Mrs Toyin Adeyeye slapped one of his men and tore his uniform, Governor Fayose wants to find out the facts.

During the monthly public enlightenment programme, “The Governor Explains”, he said that he had set up a team to investigate what truly happened since both parties involved seem to have different versions.

Crime / How A 3-year-old Was Sold To ‘ritualist Alfa’ By Neighbor In Ijegun, Lagos by BounceNigeria: 2:09pm On Mar 20, 2017
Days after an Alfa was arrested for allegedly killing a 3-year-old boy for rituals in Ijegun area of Lagos State, more revelations are coming in.

The mother of the murdered boy is telling her side of the story.

Mrs Chinasa Okereke said a 15-year-old boy allegedly collected 500 Naira from the Alfa to abduct her son.

The mother of four shared her ordeal with reporters, alleging that the teenager, who is also a neighbour, stole her son, Chiagozie.

The teenager identified as Simon had earlier confessed to the police that an unidentified Alfa, who is now in police custody, asked him to supply a three-year-old child.

Simon said after he brought Chiagozie to the Alfa, he was given 500 Naira for his efforts.

After he was arrested, the police made frantic effort to locate Chiagozie, but before detectives from Isheri Police Station could get to him, he was already dead.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Mrs Okereke, who broke down in tears, said that she was not only grieving for her murdered son, but also scared about strange men on motorbikes coming to threaten her and her husband, Augustine Okereke.

The woman who lives in a multi-room building, has three other children, apart from Chiagozie. The eldest is 10 years and the second child is eight. Chiagozie was her third child. Her fourth child is just nine months old.

She explained that on the fateful day, she wanted to give three of her children a bath outside the house when the three-year-old child was abducted.

According to her, she had briefly stepped into the house to get a wrapper to strap the nine-month-old to her back, but returned to find out that Chiagozie was gone.

When she asked her eight-year-old daughter the whereabouts of her little brother, the girl said that Simon, the 15-year-old living in the building next door had taken him away.

“When my daughter told me that Simon took Chiagozie, I immediately rushed to his house, but his guardians said they had been looking for him too. When it was getting late, we went to the police station to report that Simon took our son and that we couldn’t find him.

“Police took over the case and soon located and arrested Simon. He was taken to the station. Singing like a bird, he revealed how the Alfa came to pick him and Chiagozie with a car.

“When detectives asked questions from residents of the community, they were told that they saw the Alfa driving off with Simon and Chiagozie.

“The suspect led police to the scene where the Alfa took him and Chiagozie. The corpse of Chiagozie was found laid out on the ground. A big stone was beside his head and a red cloth tied round his neck.

“Asked how Chiagozie was killed, Simon said that he saw when the Alfa lifted Chiagozie mid-air and made some incantations before dropping him to the ground,” the woman recalled in tears.

Reacting to the incident the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni, alleged that the Alfa had used the deceased for ritual.

He further said that the Alfa and Simon had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, for further investigations.

“Parents should be proactive and know the kind of people they leave their kids with.

“Parents and guardians shouldn’t allow the economic situation in the country to affect their vigilance and care towards their kids,” Owoseni stated.

Education / SHOCKING! Queens College Lagos Threatens To Jail Bounce News Journalist by BounceNigeria: 9:58am On Mar 20, 2017
Under fire Principal of Queens College Lagos, Bola Are is very angry.

She has threatened a journalist for taking pictures of the school and interviewing aggrieved parents.

Lekan Oladeinde, a Correspondent with Bounce News had gone to the school on Sunday to monitor the return of students back to school after the forced mid-term break.

The school was shutdown over three weeks ago after two students allegedly died of diarrhoea, between Thursday, February 23 and Friday, February 24, 2017.

Vivian Osuinyi and Bithia Itulua died after sicknesses linked to contaminated water and unhygienic environmental condition of the elitist school.

Oladeinde had earlier approached one of the Vice Principals of the school to seek clarification on the resumption schedule and what efforts the school has made to ensure the safety of the returning students.

It appears there are too many skeletons in locker; his request was rejected.

Oladeinde was, however, able to gain access into the school premises to see things on ground.

He equally spoke with some parents, who had brought their wards to school only to be told that the school has been shut indefinitely.

The parents were told that only JSS 3 students are to resume as day students; boarding facilities have been suspended.

While taking his shots, security guards approached him and tried to seized his phone.

The reporter insisted that he has done nothing wrong as the school is a public place.

A call was put to the Principal, who asked the guards to confiscate the phone, a move that was vehemently resisted by the reporter.

During this period, the Vice Principal and other staff joined the security guards and were demanding for the journalist’s identity.

The Principal was overheard on phone saying one Ajose is using the reporter to tarnish the image of the school, a claim denied by the journalist.

“I overheard the principal telling the VP and the guards that Ajose is the one using me. I bluntly told them I don’t know any Ajose or anybody in the school”, Oladeinde said.

The Principal later asked the security guards, led by the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the school to take the matter to the Sabo Police station.

At the police station, the principal was not clear on what offence the journalist had committed, so the police did not take any statement from the him.

Sensing that the case might work against school management, the principal again called his men to say a no case should be entered against the reporter.

She, however, insisted that the pictures and the videos about the school should be deleted from the journalist’s phone.

She also told the police to tell the reporter to stay away from the school.

Asked what his mission was at the school, the journalist told the police that he was doing his job by trying to report the real situation of things on ground and not what the school management wants the people to know.

After about an hour, an agreement was reached and the pictures and videos were deleted.

The journalist after the drama is challenging the school management to publish photographs of the hostels and dining hall to prove him wrong.

“I challenge the management of the school to independently publish pictures of the current state of the hostels and dining hall as at today, Monday, march 20 if truly it is not hiding something from the public.

“The school can also call a press conference between Monday and Tuesday and show other journalists the situation on ground in the school to prove me wrong”, he added.

Parents vent their anger

Some of the parents who spoke with Bounce News expressed their displeasure with the way things have turned out in the school.

In one of the videos that was deleted, a parent told Bounce News that she was traumatized with what is happening in the school.

She said the federal government allowed the situation to degenerate to this level by turning the former Principal of the school into a semi-god.

The woman, who has two daughters in the school, said she is afraid whether one of her daughters, who is in SS3 would make her results in WASSE examinations, which starts in a few days.

She said she has already enrolled her other daughter, who is SS1 in another school.

Nothing on ground in the school

Contrary to impression being created by the school management that the school was prepared for the students, a visit round the premises by Bounce News shows that the school is not ready.

There is nothing on ground so show that everything is in place.

The school dining hall and hostels are in a state of dismal.

They are currently undergoing renovation.

Renovation works are also going on in the classrooms.

Recalled that The Lagos State Government on Friday advised that school be shut down indefinitely for a proper treatment of the water system in the school.

The state Ministry of Health said results from samples taken from water sources in the school showed that the water was “polluted,” adding that the school’s food handlers were also culpable.
