Politics › Re: Nigeria Gets Its First Unmanned 24-Hour Fuel Stations by Bovis(m): 1:39pm On Jan 08 |
MarketDispatch: How will they steal? You select how many litres you want to buy, pay first, machine will give you green light and stop at the exact amount you purchase.
With this model, Dangote will further reduce Petrol price if he removes the costs related to Petrol pump attendants. The only danger is that many households will be further thrown to more poverty due to loss of jobs when Petrol pump attendants jobs are eliminated by technology.
I am sure it will not be like UK own that you will dispense petrol first before paying. Most unmanned UK petrol pump system also does not allow you to first dispense petrol. Your card is debited first before the pump starts dispensing |

Karlman: I would have loved to know what really happened.
No one has really told us how the accident happened, what caused it or led to it.
I only heard a video interview of an eyewitness who said it was another vehicle that caused the accident and that it escape but even the eyewitness didn't say how or what the escaped vehicle did that caused the accident. I believe the driver was trying to overtake the vehicle in front but sighted an another vehicle late. Therefore, due to panic and to avoid collision with the incoming vehicle he crashed at speed into the parked truck The driver literally caused the accident not brake failure or bad road conditions |

IME1: Congratulations to a beautiful woman. I wish her well in her new office. The press release I saw from Mr Onanuga said she's 54. Please I want to ask how manage her call year is 1988? I think they meant to say in their press release that she was probably 64 or at least over 54. I believe she intelligent, graceful, firm and has integrity. I don't know her but the Odusote family I know from Ibadan are a fantastic family with a legendary Bookshop. Her coming is an added glory and I pray she excels. She was in Lagos Campus I hear, kudos to VI. Please let the issue of the age be clarified. If truly she was called to Bar that year and at that age Yes I also think that her age is not adding up. If she was born in 1971, that means she was called to bar at the age of 17 |

Politics › Re: Every Minister Knew Fuel Subsidy Was Killing Nigeria — Kemi Adeosun by Bovis(m): 11:08pm On Jan 02 |
Very insightful interview. According to her instead of always criticising the federal government, state allocation is now substantially more as the result of subsidy reform. Therefore, “When governors publish their budgets, people have to look and ask intelligent questions. Not emotional ones, and conclude that the government is stealing money. They may not be stealing. They may just have a huge workforce and bloated budgets, but people need to ask questions,” Adeosun said. |

Aside of Lagos and maybe Abuja, how many states have a functioning emergency response system in Nigeria?
Peter is right for calling out the Ogun State government but did he prioritise an emergency fire/ambulance response system as a governor in Anambra or he’s just capping his usual hypocritical nonsense |

Politics › Re: Military Intervention In Benin Republic Is An Impeachable Offence - Lawyer by Bovis(m): 11:39pm On Dec 08, 2025 |
This baby lawyer is not well versed in Presidential constitutional law
The President as the commander in chief of the Nigerian army has the power to order military action in an emergency for territorial defence. Therefore, a military coup in neighbouring Benin can be considered an imminent threat to Nigeria’s peace and stability
Our presidency is modelled on the American system and Trump can order military strike in an emergency without congress approval. This is currently the case in Venezuela |

Ttipsy: the same govt that went all the way to kenya to arrest an agitator ??
this pple have not told us their real mission evil pple The “agitator’s” arrest was based on intelligence reports from his inner circle, he was tracked all the way to Kenya by the UK and Nigerian authorities. He literally walked into a setup. Security outfit can’t apply the same methodology to random kidnappers The fast track solution to end this kidnapping trend is to start offering monetary rewards to the local people for providing information leading to the arrest of the kidnappers within their domain - Crime fighting is mostly psychological |

motymop: Japa to the UK didn’t go wrong because of content creators.
It went wrong the moment the natives started feeling sidelined, housing scarcity, rising crime rates, and a belief that the government was treating illegal immigrants better than its own citizens.
That sentiment created the perfect environment for frustration to grow, and eventually pushed more people toward supporting far-right groups that are strongly anti-immigration. Well stated, mass immigration and small boats crossings of undocumented migrants are fuelling the rise of populism in the UK |

hatchy: This is shameful.... Must everything be resolved by violence, Why are we not organised, could it be a cultural thing or something imbeded in our DNA that we must be violent and anyhowness.
There should be some kind of civility in our system. Society evolve but it seems here in Africa, especially Nigeria we are stocked in the 16th century babaric society. We cant continue this way. The noble laureate scientist who invented DNA/Genes testing stated that he is inherently gloomy about the prospects of Africa but he was labelled a racist and ostracised by the scientific community. However, it’s a shame that the average black society is fulfilling that prophecy I have concluded that aside Lagos, the rest of Nigeria is a jungle and I don’t go anywhere near those places whenever I’m in Nigeria |
