How much revenue and influence have they attracted to the state, against Tax reforms, against restructuring, etc... These is the kind of person some choose to agree with over senseless pickings...

Even most Nigerians do not understand the tax reform bill. The FG is simply saying no more monthly federal allocation, make your money as a state, and give us only 15% of it monthly!!!
By so doing, you will get to understand that the major arm of government that should develop your state is the state Governors...
But the ones in the North dey fear because they are only good at stealing...
How can a state be earning less than 500m within a month and be expecting federal allocation of 10 billion every month? Just for Governors to embezzle.

This just keeps showing that the Northern Governors are a lazy bunch.

In one breath, FG claims to be pursuing principles of free market economy. In another breath, we're blaming state govts for low productivity.
Most Nigerians don't really understand economic principles or concepts. They just go with popular opinion or reduce it to ethnic or regional sentiments.
Taxation is not an economic development tool. Rather, it's a fiscal tool just like subsidy removal. Most do not realise this. They just think North are parasites while South are rich.
For example, all states in SE are parasites if we go strictly by VAT collection and allocation statistics. But I've seen a lot of SE guys jump on the bandwagon of calling North parasites on this VAT issue.
This shows why it is always argued that SE is not politically intelligent. This VAT issue would have been the best opportunity for SE to find common ground and align with the North but they are too steeped in seeing anything North as bad not to realise where they are supposed to stand on the matter.

I think you should really check what the TAX REFORM bill is all about.

You're not getting it sir, I didn't qualify VAT total of a state as a sign for productivity, rather I described the action/policy to expose the lack of productivity by 80% of the states, which all boils down to poor leadership.
