...Not daylight robbery.. I am a recipient. Would have paid 2x the amount I paid for the present program I run. The partial scholarship still offers me an extra space for a second program. I feel they have sticked to our agreement so far. Most colleges in the UK and U.S offer partial scholarship too. If you stay in Abuja, send me a mail(epum.michael@yahoo.com), we could meet for me to lay credence to all I have said. nairalandist: I don't know if you work for NIIT or something, but the truth still remains that the 'scholarship' being advertised is misleading. Instead of calling it a scholarship, let them do adverts for price reduction in the cost of their fees. It's lack of educational policies that make for-profit computer schools like NIIT advertise scholarships without being screened.
And please.... never compare NIIT too UK & US Colleges. These are universities we're talking about here. Do you think a Nigerian can go to the USA and open one computer school there and start advertising scholarships without getting bounced by the government? Oga! ...sadly, you've failed to understand what I spelt out. First, I don't work for NIIT. When you pass the scholarship, they give you an acknowledgement letter(see attached picture carefully, please read it). I never compared NIIT to UK and U.S colleges, I only said that the issue of partial scholarship is not alien to NIIT. I sincerely do not think it is fair to call the scholarship misleading, our educational policies have a myriad of problems, I don't think this is one. I personally would not have the money for this program I enrolled for, if not the partial scholarship presented to me. They have been open and transparent so far to me.

Briareos: Final warning to everyone. Let the gender and sexuality attack stop. This issue has been over-flogged and it should be put to rest to avoid derailment. Let everyone caution themselves and their choice of words. It doesn't matter who instigates the issue, it would count as a derailment after warning if you get involved. Let's maintain decorum. Cheers guys! ...That's the Boss talking. Salute!! |

Can we try as much as we can to avoid the troll gay in here in the name of decanta/decantan
I would have suggest we report him to the mod but he'll create another account and still continue ranting
It obvious he's no Tayo's fan so the best thing to do is to ignore him nobody should quote any of his post whether he says something good or bad about Tayo...that way he'll get tired a moment he doesn't get the attention we're giving him.
I'm addressing him as guy cos I'm convince he's a guy that luvs his fellow men following the way he responds to ochon's post.

nairalandist: I'm surprised that Nigerians are still falling for that NIIT Scam.
Every year, they gather people at different locations across the country and promise them some scholarship and a possible trip to India. At the end of the day, everybody ends up paying through their noses.
If they want to offer people discounts for their training programmes, let them do so in a public advert instead of tagging it a scholarship. It's daylight robbery! ...Not daylight robbery.. forkadict: Okay. I thought i would see some excerpts of JJ and tayo's discussion yesterday.
JJ said something like he knows he understands tayo more than the other housemates given they have had a go at each other's throat a few times in the past.
And that when the housemates were all attacking tayo, he approached Tayo to first understand what went down from his (Tayo's) viewpoint and also to explain the other housemates position to him as well.
But Tayo in a fit of rage SCREAMED at him and was cursing so intensively so he had no choice but to back off.
Tayo didnt dispute none of this.
Me feels, homeboy needs to chill a bit. This kinda environment entails a bit of give and take. If majority of the housemates feel you are constituting a nuisance with your drum, then you tune it down a little. You cant attempt to impose your personality on other housemates when they are not subservient to you in anyway and not expect a reaction. He loves and thrives in a noisy environment. He said so himself but if other housemates choose a little bit of quiet sometimes, why not oblige them. And this is not about being fake as some threadmates may want to assert, It's called diplomacy and flexibility. ...share those sentiments too... What Tayo was furious about was the gang-up and sad gossips. He felt anyone who had a problem with the way he acts should approach him, as he sees everyone like a family(or better still like king kong his guy in SA). During yesterday's chat with JJ, Idris, 265 and Macky2, he repeatedly told them that Frankie and Permithias were the only housemates that came to his face and told him their grievances towards him. That he is not Mr perfect, and would always take corrections, he further stated that all the complaint Frankie and JJ labelled him with, he never did them again. Maybe the way JJ approached Tayo(I'm not Tayo's defense, always lashed at him when he strays), or Tayo labelling him a manipulator might have led to the rage. Frankie and permithias approached him, JJ does not look any different from those housemates. In the end, I feel he sincerely made peace with JJ. 265 and Macky2 have not burried their hatchet, I see a lot of ego on their head. |

ladunsky: Trezegah in the cooking mode and Tayo says "gangster in the kitchen" and then asks the people around which American Superstar Trez reminds them off.
Ella was the first to suggest "Flava Flava". Everybody tried but Tayo said when he calls it, they will all see.
Finally, he admits that Trezegard looks like Exzibit and everybody agrees that this was true. ..He looks like xzibit...Trezagah has that kind of unemotional excitement he throws to viewers. Won't be sad if our boy misses the moolah and it lands in Mozambique. |

Mordyb: i actually thought i would see his face but if not for you telling me its him i would have thought it was the voice overs of those over hyped marvel movies tbh ...I sincerely feel the Marvel's movies that were over hyped lived up to their billing..maybe with few exceptions(elektra, ghost rider and the punisher franchise..exclude the one that had Lundgren, which I felt was a complete disaster)..the x-men series, spiderman series, blade series(which I personally think was over-hyped),captain america, iron man..etc survived their celebrity status quite well. Marvel movies from the beginning of the 2000's had a brilliant shade over their hype |

ochon: Tayo DS excerpts...
Tayo says he feel most of the HMs are against him, that he looses his friends every week. That he uses his music to console himself. That he cries when he feels emotionally down and that's who he is. He won't change himself. That he can still bite. That the slowness of the lion does not signify cowardice. That he can still roar. That he knows how to fight his battles. He said he felt bad seeing Permithias and Frankie. He said Frankie is a good guy, that he came to him and advised him after the Friday's incident. That Frankie chose to see the rights in him even when he didn't deserve it. And he appreciates it.
He says people are changing. Like they have no personality and that they have low self-esteem. That HMs are not being real but snitching and backstabbing on each other because of the game. That he can't do such because of a game. The he realises that those with small heart have no time to show love. That he has friends that will be pissed seeing him emotional and crying, and wanting to slap him through the screens, but that they should be angry, he's going through pressures.
Biggie asked him how he's playing his game and he said he's not playing any game. That's he's living his life. That he wants his friends to replay his videos to Africa to know this is who he is. That he won't play any game, but he'll be who he is, Biggie or no biggie. That he's the one person that can't argue one-on-one with a HM without others gathering against him. That he's running not a race but wants to be himself.
Biggie asked him who he thinks is playing the best game, he said he doesn't know, that the HMs are playing different games. He said 265 is manipulative. That today for instance, they gave them the movie task and 265 went to connive with other HMs to act what happened on Friday between him and Macky2 without seeking his opinions, and this are people he calls his friends? That he doesn't care about them anymore and he doesn't want to get attach to them.
Biggie asks him to say a word or two to Fankie and Permithias. He looks directly to the camera and said "Permithias, the last words you told me before you left was 'sing my song'. And I've been singing your song even in my dreams. the HMs even noticed and told me. Thanks for your song, I'll keep singing it.
Frankie, the last words you told me were "be strong and be who you are" and I promise you, I'll be strong. I miss you Frankie. I'll be strong."
He said all these amongst occasional tears. I felt for Tayo. But I know he's not a quitter. Naija guys don't quit. Don't give up Ajani, the show's almost over. May the good Lord see you through. |
