Politics / Re: PDP Moves To Sanction Members Who Worked Against Polls’ Victory by BrighterSyde: 8:05am On Mar 27
SoNature:
The biggest mistake of the PDP was letting Atiku run as a presidential candidate after Buhari completed 8 years in power. A Northerner cannot rule for 8 years and you expect another northerner to continue. That's a terrible miscalculation.

Instead of punishing erring members, set up a reconciliatory committee to forge a way forward ahead of 2027. Bring Kwankwaso and Peter Obi back to the party and give Obi/Kwankwaso the ticket. Nobody can win the presidential election outside APC and PDP.

I’m happy you acknowledged that nobody can win outside the two most corrupt parties in Nigeria followed by the upcoming LP.

If you went to any school, maybe school of common sense, you would see where I have written that Government must make sure this never repeats itself. That means investigate, arrest and prosecute whoever is involved in this kidnappings and terrorism. But you chose to ignore that aspect of my comment to focus on your rubbish sentiments. Even if the Government has paid ransom, it is good. America says it everywhere that she doesn't negotiate with terrorists, but when shit comes home they do. The most important thing to do is save lifes and make sure no life is threatened or taken afterwards. You are very myopic and shallow in your thinking. If it was your family member that was kidnapped, I dont think you would be concerned about if ransom was paid or not, you would be happy that your relative was alive and brought back and what you wouldn't want is for such evens to repeat itself. My people die for lack of knowledge, go and seek Knowledge.

Let me first apologize. If I had known I was dealing with a child I won’t have even mentioned you.

I deliberately ignored that nonsense you typed because it seems you don’t know the workings of the Nigerian govt and system. All that ribbish you typed about what govt should and shouldn’t do have been said by even people dafter than you are but what has been done so far? I honestly didn’t realize you are still a kid.

It’s like saying the govt should fix our refineries that haven’t been working for over 25 years so that we can start refining our own oil and then fuel will become cheaper and we will stop importing. Only a short-sighted kid will say that because he has failed to realize that every govt, whether apc or pdp or lp is benefitting from the rot in the system. Is it today people have been saying the obvious that refineries should be fixed for obvious reasons?

Is it today that even the daftest illiterate in Nigeria has been saying govt should work on security?

You are even saying it should not repeat itself. Before the end of the month another one will happen. Ow..:just yesterday bandits stuck in Zamfara again…

I don’t know the stupid govt you are talking about. The whole political class is enriching themselves at the expense of fools like you and you are here forming lover of Nigeria. Any idiot knows that the common enemy of the masses is the political class. Even the kidnapping and insecurity is purely political. Keep waiting for govt nah.

You remember those idiots that were saying some people don’t like good news cos they asked how the children were released without ransom? Not one of them was able to give an answer. Do you know why ? It is become some people are so daft that they have removed common sense and reasoning just because they want to support a govt.

Even if people say ransom was paid is it a bad thing to explain how it is possible that it wasn’t? That will even make them look stupid.

You see these daft supporters without brains I’m talking about? They are in all parties and support different politicians. APC, PDP and LP are different names with the same ideology-corruption.

Politics / Re: IPOB, Bandits Funding Terrorism Through Crowdfunding, Betting Platforms – NFIU by BrighterSyde: 4:24am On Mar 27
FreeStuffsNG:
The NFIU further urged law enforcement agencies to investigate transactions by individuals linked to known terrorists or financiers; unauthorised tax collection or forced donations in terrorism-prone areas, and Bureau de Change operators facilitating transfers within suspected networks.

The Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) is one of the most underrated of all these agencies in the financial intelligence circle.

Most people can easily point to EFCC, NDIC, CBN,ICPC etc but hardly do they remember that most of the credit for tracking and flagging suspicious transactions goes to the NFIU. NFIU must monitor all the funds moved through all crypto transactions that emanate from or terminate in Nigeria

The proliferation of online betting platforms is particularly alarming. Going by this report then NFIU is really trying a lot to catch these guys.

May God bless Nigeria for ever! Check
my signature for free stuffs!

Dont answer this so you don’t look more stupid. Where was the NFIU when bullion vans were entering tinubu compound on the eve of elections?

Let’s us answer so that these enemies know that we have common sense and can explain how the govt was able to secure their release without ransom. Oya shame the enemies with a smart answer.

adabaraabdul:

The parents of the kidnapped pupils, and vast majority of Nigerians don't care about your sentiments. Everyone is happy the kidnapped have all be rescued. what we care about is the mechanism Government has put in place to make sure this incident never repeats itself and also to make sure those responsible for this evil are brought to book. Government has said they fine pay random and that is it. case closed!

This is what people say when they set common seen aside. Who will bring them to book? Govt? Bandits that are now going live on TikTok. Is this the first case of mass kidnap? For over 8 years this has been happening. Have they been brought to book? And if I ask you how the kids were rescued now without ransom you will ignore the question and give stupid answers on something else.

You don't have to go through all these. If you have proof that ransom was paid, do your investigation and come up with verifiable evidence and we shall listen to you. So, the onus is on you to proof.

Your colleagues in your camp would disagree at the bolded

My camp? Which camp? You mean daft obidients who believe that Obi is a saint and will change this country when even he LP is embroiled in corruption as far back as their campaign?

Or the Apc camp of dumb fools who believe that a man driving bullion vans into his house on the eve of election is the messiah of this country? A man who led the nation to a protest on fuel subsidy calling it a scam but came back to remove the same so-called scam?

Or the Atiku camp whose corruption and love for Dubai cannot make them see that he is just as desperate as tinubu?

Or the camp of those who support senators whose allocation from the budget has been increasing humongously yet minimum wage has remained 30k in the last 6 years?

Pls tell me which of the camps you are referring to cos only a big fool will support any party or politician in this country. People who can’t fix power, security, education etc for over 20 years and someone who is educated still supports them.

You must be really daft to support any of these camps.

No. The fg doesn’t give you the full details cos most times people are too daft to reason. As long as news is out that they are released some idiots just celebrate. You think bandits will risk their lives and release those kids just like that? They’ve collected ransom and can now pay off their sponsors, buy more weapons, live lavishly and then plan for another kidnap. But idiots who can’t reason deeply will hail tinubu just cos of news that didn’t carry any explanation or tell us how they killed the bandits

Many now want to claim they do not know the Federal Government schools that exist.

Just as they are asking their legislators to do better projects, but call such statutory allocation as padding and corruption.

Were the legislators supposed to use their own earning that is for their family and running thier offices, to be doing projects in the constituency?

Na illiteracy go destroy Nigeria las las.

Not tribalism, corruption or genocide.

Just pure illiteracy.

NASS, a den of corruption by a gang of unarmed pen robbers

Olufemi Adegbulugbe
Member, Federalist Majority

“A total of 7,447 projects culminating in N2.24tn were inserted in the 2024 budget by the National Assembly, an ugly trend that was accelerated in the 10th National Assembly. The National Assembly
has indiscriminately added projects to the budget, with most projects having no national significance but narrowed to personal interests.”

“Under Tinubu, The federal lawmakers raised their allocation from N197 billion to N344 billion, their highest ever in the history of the National Assembly.

Ridiculous line items include
A. NASS Printing press. N3 billion
B. NASS Library. N12.1 billion
C. NASS Library book procurement N3 billion
D. NASS e library N225 million
E. Senate Car Park. N3 billion
F. Reps Car Park. N3 billion
G. NASS recreation center N4 billion
H. NASS Hospital Project. N15 billion

The NASS budget is twice the total allocation to all 26 Federal Universities.

Observations
Note the duplication in line items B, C and D. Ie Nass Library, Nass e-library and Nass Library book procurement.

Note the same cost for Senate car park (109 members) and Reps car park (360 member. In other words, a 109 cars capacity car park costs the same as 360 cars capacity car park.
Does this mean that Julius Berger designed and built the NASS complex without adequate car park capacity?

N15 billion for NASS hospital project is enough to build one one primary health care center in every Local Government area in Nigeria.
The new State house clinic /hospital is available for use of NASS members so why waste N15 billion on a new hospital for only 500 people. Please also note the running and overhead cost of this hospital when it becomes operational.

It is heartbreaking that NASS increased their allocation by N147 billion in a budget that is running a deficit financed by external borrowing. It is sad!
With current inflation, the cost of these items has tripled.
All the above items (A-H) are of no strategic fit or strategic alignment, purely selfish and personal interests where the contracts are awarded to companies belonging to NASS members.

So where do we go from here?
Show me your friends and i will tell you who you are. It is very clear that the choice of Akpabio, a corruption guru, as Senate President was a strategic objective by President Tinubu to institutionalise corruption in the National Assembly.
Our lawmakers have turned contractors.
Our lawmakers are only interested in looting of the treasury.
I will be ashamed if i were a member of the NASS or addressed as a Senator or HoA member. But we have no shame and we also do not know the definition of shame.
Regarding the question “Where do we go from here?”, i do not have an answer but i know that Nigeria cannot continue like this.
President Bola Tinubu does not mean well for Nigeria. I am convinced beyond reasonable doubts.
Good evening.

COPIED

Well said sir. Yet we have freestuffng and other slaves saying akpabio is going nowhere when they are robbing him blind. Only a fool with support any politician or party in Nigeria. Even LP members are there chopping their own silently
