Hello All,

Does anyone know of someone who can prepare me for TEF? Preferrably over the internet.

How long dies it take ans how much will it cost me?

Thanks a lot.

Just starting the language learning or preparing for TEF?

Hello
My IELTS has expired and I got a message from IRCC stating that I was no longer eligible.
I have written another exam and results should be out this week.
My question
Can I just update the profile or do I have to set up a new profile?

This link takes you to the right page and make sure to digest the first post on that link.

Nothing can be done to an ineligible profile, so you have no choice than to open another profile.

Already booked or preparing for TEF but still needs tips that could be helpful for EE and EO?
Holla and let's do this together! Free!

WhatsApp +234 810 475 1790

And if you are also on the journey of learning French for the extra points, you need someone who has passed the test(TEF) to give you the knowledge needed for the test.

Good morning Team,

I am planning to start my PR soon, I have already sat for IELTS L 9.0, R 9.0, S 6.5, W 7. Total score : 8.0.
I am 27 years of age, and I would like to know if I still need extra certificate to boost my score.

Again, I read computer engineering and I have five years of IT experience.
I am currently working on my transcripts in order for it to get evaluated.

I have no siblings or family members in Canada just family friends.

I will need all your advises guys to make this a success.

Thanks.

You need to read and research a lot if you are on this journey.
Please go through the first post on page 1 very well.

Use this link for simulating your scores
https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp
And also, you need a minimum of 8777 in LRSW respectively to have a good score which you happen not to know, hence my reason for referring you to page 1 and digest it.

Dear Team,

Please I wrote my first ielts and I got the following result.

L-8.5, S-7.5, R-7, W-7.

I would like to remark reading and writing.

Please advice if it is worth remarking.

Also please I need advice on if I can ace TEF in 6 months without any prior knowledge of French.

Regards
Suogal

This question requires a tactical answer.

It can be possible if only you sleep, eat and drink French but anything side this is all lies.

You also need to make your decision fast if learning French is required to gain more points, but make sure you use the right tutor (someone who knows about TEF and has passed). Many tutors only know about DELF/DALF but won't impact the right knowledge you need for TEF.

With fervent practice, 6months is enough. If anyone prefers to use 2yrs, it's okay lipsrsealed Try DELF, & DALF exam then you'll know TEF is just for beginner (basic).

Please stop this if its a joke to avoid misleading people.
How dare you compare DELF/DALF to TEF? angry

This right here is the more reason to look away even when one could give something useful.

Finally passed my IELTS at a second trial.
I guess my emotions affected the first test due to what I passed through during the week to the test. My FIL was sick, so shuffling reading, work and scheduled night visitations to the hospital added more stress.
To cap it all, we lost him the Thursday to the test and that added to the emotional trauma already passed through.

I had to brave up and sat for the test but I got 7.5, 8.5,7,7 in LRSW respectively. While the preparation for the second was also intensive since I would not want to have the test again, reading was so tough on test day that I wondered if it wasn't the same IELTS reading, I also checked if I mistakenly registered for IELTS academic.
Alas, the result came out 8.5, 7, 8, 7.
I feel so good!

Both tests were BC CBT.

There’s an NL thread for French speakers just google NL TEF. It will pop up, it took me 10months of study & prep to write the exam. I self studied and then I took one month of TEF prep class at AF. You can try Duolingo. Lawlessfrench.com, RFIsavoirs.com & RFI radio and TV5monde.com. There’s also an app hello talk for language exchange. If you have Netflix change your profile to French and watch movies in French with subtitles. It really helps

Lest you forget, include that high dedication is very important.

Pas de problème, tu peux m’envoyer un e-mail et peux parler sur WhatsApp. Tu es déjà au Canada n’est-ce pas ? Pourquoi tu veux l’apprendre? Tu vis au Québec?

You all speaking/typing in French, you seem to have a lucky day OR the NL's bot is asleep. I got banned the first day I typed in French. smiley

I believe express entry is here to stay for a very very long time. They might just tweak a few things about but it’s here to stay. Why would they want to change a system that is clearly working and that is one of the best in the world? I read an annual report IRCC made last year about express entry. They noted that almost all the applicants through express entry integrate well into society and get good paying jobs. They noted that overall, express entry candidates are doing better than non express entry immigrants

Nothing lasts forever.
I would like to know if USA's visa lottery is still available for Nigerians.

Thank you for the clarification. I appreciate.
Do you suggest I give myself 2-3years in Nigeria, get work experience, get my Masters and maybe PhD (All online as I want Foreign degrees) and then start the Canadian PR process? I will be 34 in 3years so would still within the age score. Is that a good plan?
Canada is supposed to be a fresh start for me, quite bombed it won’t be sooner.

Whatever you plan to do, do it quick. Do not think EE will be for long and policies can also change anytime.

Mine was PH, so I wouldn't know if it's done same way at other AF centres.

Sorry please I saw your post about your friend with bsc and cipm. I'm about to write cipm too but I have my bsc in English education. My fear is that my work experience might not be approved by WES. Since its HR work before my hr certification.

Or does my english education bsc work for hr relayed field under WES assesment?

My aim is to start cipm asap nd apply for evaluation immediately I'm done with the modules.

WES has nothing to do with your work experience.
