Baddestguyp: Checked it. This anime is a 4.6/10 on IMDB tho...
And I saw some comments about it being LGTBQ or so...
I vaguely remember the description mentioning male and female organs but I didn't pay attention to it. I'll do my own research to see if it's western influenced or the usual Japanese fetish. E no go beta for me if I use my hard earned funds buy sub use download American cartoon LGBTQ nonsense.
Baddestguyp: The Rose of Versailles (1979).....8.5/10
Synopsis - The story is centered on the true life events leading up to the French Revolution of 1789 and also covers the Revolution itself whereby the commoners and some other factions sought to take back political power over France from the ruling class/monarchy. This led to countless loss of life and so much human cruelty.
The story is about 90% based on true life events but it's major protagonist is a completely fictional character called Oscar François de Jarjayes. Oscar was a member of the Jarjayes family who have been loyal to the Monarchy.
Oscar, due the her father lacking a male heir was raised by her father as a man to succeed him. As a result, she joined the Royal guards.
It is a tragic tale that retells the events leading up to the French revolution and many characters who played different roles in it. I had to do a little research on the French revolution after I finished watching and while the series isn't 100% accurate, it is mostly accurate and many of the major events and characters were captured in this 40 episodes anime series.
It captures many major events like the Affair of the diamond necklace during which the people completely lost faith in the ruling class. ..
When I started the story, I thought it would be like the usual Hollywood female power show with Mary Sue characters but the deeper I went, it became clear that this wasn't the case.
Every character stands out with their own strength and weaknesses. Oscar struggling with her own identity and romance as someone who was raised as a man and who had fully accepted that identity, even if it meant depriving herself of love and attempting to shut out her feminine side and feminine emotions.
Andre who loved and was loyal to Oscar but would not hesitate to call her out when he disagreed with her choices.
Marie Antoiniette, the Dauphine of Austrian origin who entered a political marriage at the tender age of 14 with the French Dauphin (who became King Louis XVI). She was mostly portrayed as a timid but ignorant Queen easily manipulated and swayed by her own emotions and thus failing to see the plight of the common people.
The way the story captures many events is brilliant. The soundtrack too was brilliant and fitting.
The only downside is the animation. Since it was animated in 1979, the animation is not great.
Arigato.I searched for it and in the process I stumbled upon another gem.300+ plus comments all positive.
Tflex01: Telegram wallet P2P is very safe if you are selling. Highly recommended.
Ensure you only transact with someone with more than 100 trades (and 99 or 100% completion rating).
Since you are the one selling, make sure you check your bank app and receive your money before releasing the assets.
When you ask for one pure water God will give you Hennessy vsop.
The only thing I had issue with was poor lightening for verification no thanks to "NEPA" after that the whole process took less than 3 minutes. I've received the money and cleared my debts thank you very much. Once again God bless you.
Please treat as urgent. I need to sell this thing,I no want my boys run me street use my only hope take carry ashawo or for federal government to block my account because of crypto ban.
Good day to all. I'm still a novice on this crypto thing but I participated in the dogs airdrop and I used my telegram wallet and I've already converted it to USDT. I don't trust the telegram P2P enough to do business there after all if they scam me the worst telegram will do is ban their phone number. Should I use binance with the recent trouble with Nigeria or I should use another app. My loan is overdue and this is my only hope of repayment. I would be extremely grateful for suggestions please.
CoolUsername: >Self admitted battle shonen fanbase hater because they don't like shipping. >Dropped Naruto Shippuden >Never watched Boruto >"Now let me tell you why the character designs are bad and then vaguely imply that Ikemoto is a creep."
Now, I'm not a Naruto or Boruto fan so this isn't me stanning but these types of criticism are starting to become annoying.
Like, how are you going to be angry about battle shonen fans not liking character shipping and then lose your mind over Sarada wearing a strapless dress and heels?
At least the youtuber is funny tho.
I don't even bother with imbeciles like this anymore I leave an unpleasant comment on their page, block and move on with my day.
Damn!! This is why no matter the hype I will never follow a series weekly. I just saw kaiju No 8 and every episode was a banger back to back. I feel sorry for those that had to bear the suspense of a cliffhanger episode which was every episode by the way. I don't know it it was a faithful manga adaptation as I haven't read it yet but they cooked regardless.
Unlike the typical monster slaying movies, they showed us what happens backstage when the heroes have won and the cameras are gone someone has to shovel miles of shit filled intestines and wash the blood from the streets all while presumably the literal mountain of carcass is decomposing and adding it's own fragrance to the shit whilst being careful not to get cooked by scalding hot blood.
Blue lock was good but Ao Ashi is objectively better, too bad there's no season 2 I'll have to check out the manga.
I thought I was getting tired of anime, something I previously thought impossible but after a sabbatical and two solid anime series and I realise it's not anime I was tired of it's shitty "anywhere belle face na front" anime that's the problem.
Kaycee7: Fruits Basket is, most definitely, a top 5 romance drama. The buildup between Kyo and Tohru was some of the best writing I've seen in that genre.
That guy suffered too much, I'm really happy he got the best girl in the entire series. I would have been happier if he had broken shigure's nose at least and given Yuki a black eye.
Baddestguyp: The reviewers are different. Just because it's the same site doesn't mean it's the same person reviewing both shows
I didn't want to litter this thread with irrelevant pictures but I checked yesterday and I couldn't find a single review disparaging that abomination of a show. Yet the posted that horrible takes on demon slayer on their official account and you're subtly defending them.
CoolUsername: Yoruichi is one of the baddest women in shonen. There are many reasons to like her and I can think of one very thicc one rn.
However, she most likely isn't black which is why I didn't mention her in my list. We've seen black characters in Bleach already and they have unambiguous features (hair lips, etc) that Yoruichi doesn't share. Not every dark skinned character is black and I find it extremely cringe when people try to claim otherwise.
Hohenheim: I've never seen black people ask for more representation in anime, dudes just be saying anything And as long as the anime is set in somewhere other than Japan there's nothing wrong in having black people in it Stop going down alt right rabbit holes
Every other person engaged with wisdom I don't know why you chose to be the exception. I suggest you hop out of your well soon.
DieRich5: Black is not common in Japan and I don't really like seeing black in anime or any Asia film.
It's normal and nice seeing black cast in another film industries, the way you see black and even white in most Korean films, I swr you will dislike them cus there style is way different from others.
For me: I don't like black or any other race in anime.
I kind of agree. I'm tired of seeing top 10 black characters when in reality they are all mid and easily forgettable. I mean tozen was blind and weak and died really early, yoruchi isn't all that but we no go hear word because African Americans must celebrate blackness every 3 market days.
CoolUsername: Japan is over 95% Japanese. Like, just imagine asking for Indian representation in Nollywood Ridiculous, right?
That said, we have a couple of cool black characters in anime and manga such as: Lille Barro, Oh-Etsu, Charon, Avdol, Dutch, and Miguel to name a few. However, I like them because they are cool, not just because they are black.
As for black representation in media. I'm all for it. Black creators should make dope stuff with black people in it. Do a historical fantasy set in Nigeria. Do cyberpunk sci-fi set in dystopian future Lagos. Do an action-adventure set in the Sahel region, you get a cool desert backdrop, bladed weaponry, and many opportunities for cool costume design.
Japan, China, Korea, India, Mexico, etc put themselves on the entertainment map by making their own stuff with their own people, for their own people before foreigners saw them and got into them too. Black people should be doing the same instead of looking to other races to do it for us.
I want to see more cool stuff like Supa Strikas, Class of 3000, The Boondocks, etc and less lazy-ass race swaps in the name of "representation".
Beautiful take man.
@ Bolded 1 .I just imagined a scenario where one says this in a DEI filled office in America.E no go funny at all.
@ bolded 2 I have to agree that would be incredibly dope seeing things that you can actually relate to/understand as a Nigerian/black person not some could be wakandan or Ethiopian/Kenyan mashup that just leaves one confused everytime you see a black show.
What do you guys think about representation in anime?
Personally I don't care about seeing black characters in anime or video games or whatever but what do you guys think should we get more black characters.
CoolUsername: Man, I wish we could go back to the days when anime fans were just called weird losers. Nowadays, anime fans are called paedophiles for watching anime with petite characters who are canonically over 18.
That one concern their papa I like any anime character that I like.Wetin concern me and age for fictional character. But for the record I'm not into loli but I'll never shame another for their fantasies.
I saw a twitter post complaining about that 2.5D anime being heavily censored I've been looking forward to this anime for some months now and this is a heavy disappointment.
Funny thing is immediately after I saw the post that Heineken advert where a fat Asian female steals the man's reward for his efforts from van dijk came up and I couldn't help but think DEI,a few years back only "incel losers" watched anime now every studio is trying to cash in while destroying everything we love about anime.
NeoWanZaeed: How the hell was his body parts severed then. The fingers
Go and read the manga, the creme de la creme of the heian era aka the golden age of sorcery couldn't defeat him,as for why he had to reincarnate as fingers that was thanks to kenjaku,as for what actually happened we don't know yet.
CoolUsername: Turns out episode 2 was also fire. Funny how an Irish Newgrounds animator can produce such an authentic retro anime experience. I know Adult Swim is past its prime but Punch Punch Forever will definitely fit their style
