Biggie: Welcome to your first diary session. How does it feel to be in the house?

Jackie: I think is still overwhelming, still can’t believe I’m here, it’s like a dream, it’s crazy and trying to get used to the fact that the cameras are watching, I feel like I’m at home and yes, it’s exciting.

Biggie: What are your thoughts on your fellow housemates?


Jackie: I think they are all amazing, haven’t had conversations with everyone, but I’ve conversed with most of the housemates. We’ve been having good conversations and I think everyone are cool, they are appreciative and I think big brother selected well this season.


Biggie: Speaking of playing the game, which of you fellow housemates do you think of forming strategic alliances.

Jackie: I don’t think i would want to do that because I don’t want to be stabbed at the back, but I love Angel, Peace and Sammie, those are the people I like so far.


Biggie: Jackie B, what did you learn while in isolation before you entered the house.



Jackie: Eehhhmmmm!! I can’t believe I did that, no tv, no phone, I couldn’t speak to my son, couldn’t speak to my Mum, couldn’t speak to anyone, there weren’t even books to read. I just feel for me to survive that, there’s nothing I can’t survive. I’m actually proud of myself.


Biggie: Is there anything else you’ll like to discuss with Big brother?


Jackie: Not really, but I had to give my drugs to one of the housemates, hope I didn’t break any rules with that.

Yousef: I’ve been alone and still trying to connect with people in the house, I feel so different and hope I don’t make other housemates uncomfortable with how I am.

Biggie: Do you need a moment to gather yourself?

Yousef; Yea, I’m think I’m ready.

Biggie: You must remember, this is a social experiment. People of different backgrounds were deliberately chosen, you are all guest here, you are all equal, you don’t need to walk on eggshells around your fellow housemates, your belief are to be respected and in some cases, celebrated. So kindly feel at home.

Let’s talk about your fellow housemates.

Yousef: Firstly, i think I connected easily with Saga, I feel a lot of people are pretending but I can’t fully tell because I haven’t gotten closer to them, but I feel a lot of them are selling stories for pity, I’m an honest person and I know I’m a little bit difficult, it makes me uncomfortable but I try my best to be an amazing friend and also connect to people in the house. I try my best to free myself and talk more with the housemates, I’m also trying to show myself to the world. Basically, that’s how I fell at the moment.

Biggie: A few moments ago, you spoke about pretenders and liars, who do you think tells lies a lot.

Yousef: Uhhhm! I think [Didnt get the name] is trying to sell stories for sympathy and I feel he’s just trying to play his game. I just feel he’s leading me into the wrong part. I think Boma, when I first came in, he was energetic, but after 24 hours, something changed about him, from talking to ye ye ye, trying to dodge conversations. I also know both of us are models, I thought we could relate. I feel he’s pretending and not responding to me.

Biggie: Yousef, before you entered the house, what did you learn from the isolation.

Yousef: Well, on the lockdown, I think I was thinking how can I make myself as much as possible, how to mingle with everyone, I was also thinking about how the outside world will see me as, was trying to balance the whole thing. I think some of my challenges were how to cope with people, will it be positive or negative, will it be something better? I feel and was actually thinking if my character and aims will be positive or negative.

Biggie: Yousef, the best way to show the world that the house if for everyone is by being comfortable, it may seem as thou, you think too much, it may seems as thou you are trying to prioritize others by making them comfortable, be yourself, be comfortable.

Biggie: Do you have anything to discuss with Big brother?

Biggie; How does it feel to be in the big brother house?


Angel: I still feel like I’m in a dream, for now it feels unreal to be here.


Biggie: What are your thoughts on the other housemates?


Angel: I think I like them, they were really supportive when I shared my story, for now I like all thou it’s just 2 days.


Biggie: Which of them do you see yourself bonding with?


Angel: I think I like Ari, Beatrix and Jackie, for now I don’t know the guy I’ve bonded with.

Biggie: Why?

Angel: I think Beatrix is loud because I like loud people, she’s someone I can joke with and she won’t take offense, I like Ari because she’s a vibe even thou she has Piercings, I Like Jackie too because she’s pretty, I like pretty ladies.

Biggie: Do you see yourself forming any strong alliances?


Angel: No biggie, for now I don’t.

Biggie: Before the house, you were isolated for few weeks, tell Big brother your experience and what you learnt.

Angel: I fell there were a lot of emotional roller coasters, I cried a lot, people were surprised to see fine lady cry. The biggest lesson I learnt was how to be alone, how to be alone without technology or anybody to talk to and how to attack problems.

Biggie: Angel, you spoke about negative thoughts, kindly expand.

Angel: I definitely had depression for a long time, I realized before the lockdown that anytime I was alone, the urge to fall back into depression normally come, falling back into self harming was the negative thoughts I had.

Biggie: Angel, big brother hopes the presence of the housemates will help you solve your problems. Would you like to discuss anything with big brother.

Angel: Yea biggie, the Micro phone, when I first came in, I discovered the microphone wire had a cut and I’m scared of being shocked or harmed by it.
