I bought one a year ago and someone said it's imitation, it's fake. I was confused. After some months, mine started peeling off the color, and it's not even a year I bought it. Some old gas cylinders are actually repainted and sold again. This is quite unfortunate, as there have been reports of accidents and incidents involving gas cylinders, many people are questioning whether there are indeed fake gas cylinders circulating in the market. Fake gas cylinders don't normally meet quality safety standards, which makes them pose risks of leakage, explosion, or fire. Some heartless individuals or organizations may produce counterfeit gas cylinders, copying the same appearance of genuine ones but lacking the necessary quality and safety features. In some cases, disposed or expired cylinders may be refurbished and sold again at the mark. Signs of a Fake Gas Cylinder While it can be challenging to identify fake gas cylinders, there are some signs to watch out for: >>>>> CONTINUE READING FULL ARTICLE 👇 https://www.naijalpg.com.ng/2024/05/is-there-really-fake-gas-cylinder-how.html

First off, CNG is not measured by kg. Here are some technical information so you can understand more. For example CNG: @230/L 15scm = N3,450 Naira = average of 160km travel. LPG/Autogas: @ N1,000/kg 15kg = N15,000 = avg of 168KM travel. Petrol: @600/L or so... 21litres = #12,957 = 168Km travel I think this will also help Nigerians in the cost savings For the same distance covered (i.e 168km). When compare prices of Petrol - LPG - CNG: N12,957 : N15,000 : N3,450 respectively. The calculation for the cost per kilometer for both CNG and petrol is based on the fuel efficiency of the vehicle (how far the vehicle travels on one unit of fuel) and the cost per unit of fuel. Here’s how the calculations break down for CNG and petrol: 1. CNG Cost per Kilometer To calculate the cost per kilometer for CNG: - Fuel efficiency of CNG: Let's assume the vehicle covers 18-20 kilometers per cubic meter (m³) of CNG. - CNG price: The price of CNG in Nigeria is around ₦250-300 per cubic meter. Formula: • Cost per kilometer (CNG) = Price per cubic meter (₦) / Kilometers per cubic meter (km/m³) Example Calculation: - If the vehicle covers 20 km per cubic meter, and CNG costs ₦250 per cubic meter: Cost per kilometer (CNG) = ₦250 by 20 km = ₦12.5 per kilometer - If the vehicle covers 18 km per cubic meter, and CNG costs ₦300 per cubic meter: Cost per kilometer (CNG) = ₦300 by 18 km = ₦16.67 per kilometer So, depending on the vehicle efficiency and the cost of CNG, the cost per kilometer will be in the range of ₦12.5 to ₦16.67 per kilometer. 2. In some areas and communities in Nigeria, the local LPG retail reseller shops is the only way cylinder bottles can be refuelled. On rare occasion, black market are even allowed in these parts of the country. You hardly find gas stations that offers refilling of cylinder bottles, if not, what you will only find are reseller shops. A mini gas skid plant is the best available options to gas stations, but setting it up can be very expensive, and capital to construct one, can be far more than expected. Manual refilling, tank-to-tank, is now popular among locals and various rural areas. LPG reseller retail shops are easy to operate, only if you guarantee to follow and comply with the regulations and standards referred by the relevant regulations. LPG resellers must also comply rules and check any specific directives covering its application. Failure to comply with the instructions provided will lead to automatic forfeiture of your business and you may get arrested by the country regulatory agency. First, to start a LPG retail reseller shop, you do need a large space, far from residential buildings. Some laws in some states in Nigeria, do not allow gas shops to be built closer to residential buildings. So, do a proper search before leasing or outright purchase of land space. After sorting out the space issue, make sure where you've obtained is properly tiled. A tiled floor is great for gas cylinder surroundings, because it helps cylinder bottles cool off during high temperature. So by this, gas cylinder bottles can always be in a stable room temperature condition. LPG resellers use the tank-to-tank method for refilling gas cylinders. So, you will need almost four to six 50 kg cylinder tanks in your shops. Among the gas cylinder bottles, you should also have the 25 kg gas bottles for emergency refilling. Just in case the other 50 kg cylinder tanks get exhausted, you can easily refill the 25 kg at nearby gas plant, to service the available gas cylinders. You don't want to keep your customers waiting. As a reseller, you need to have all the right filling nozzles and adapters to fit all cylinder valves. Replace adapter and nozzle as recommended by the relevant regulations. Make sure that the inlet and the outlet of the cylinder valve are correct and suitable for the cylinder and the application. Some gas cylinder bottle valve won't suit some adapter. Most common adapters and valves are available for the 50 kg cylinder tanks, for refilling at gas plants. As a reseller, you should consider offering home service delivery to your customers. Most people prefer Home delivery, because some cylinder bottles becomes more heavier when fully filled. You can employ a delivery person for this purpose. Some local LPG resellers have problems with manual refilling, as most times during refills, compressed air is mixed up with LPG gas. This can cause disagreement between you and the customers, because compressed air is the same thing as filling nothing in to the gas bottle. This is why it is a good idea to make use of a transparent hose pipe for the tank-to-tank refills. This allows you to see through the hose pipe. You know when the flow of gas moving or stopped during operation. To get the correct operation of the flow limiting gas supply, the tank-to-tank hose pipe should be 1.5m length at maximum. Purging the air - inside of the cylinder must be eliminated of air. It should have >>>> CONTINUE READING FULL ARTICLE 👇 https://www.naijalpg.com.ng/2022/12/how-to-start-local-lpg-resellers-shop.html?m=1

To fix a stuck regulator on a gas cylinder at home, first make sure that the gas supply is off by tightly closing the valve. Release any built-up pressure by pressing the lever on the regulator if it has one. This can make removal easier. For a better grip, wrap a cloth around the regulator, and gently twist it counterclockwise without using excessive force to avoid damage. If it’s still stuck, apply a small amount of lubricant, like WD-40, around the connection and wait a few minutes before trying again. If needed, carefully use pliers, but avoid too much pressure. If the regulator won’t budge, consider calling a professional. Always work in a well-ventilated area and handle gas equipment with caution. A gas regulator is a control or devices for regulating or controlling fluid flow, pressure or temperature e.t.c. LPG gas regulators are attached/connected to the top of the gas cylinder bottle valves. It is the one connected from the gas cylinder bottle to your cooking appliance with the help of the hose pipe. Unfortunately, the gas regulator pin, pressing inside the neck valve per release of LPG gas can get spoilt or stuck. When the gas regulator knob is switched "ON", the pin inside goes down, pressing through the cylinder bottle valve to release LPG gas. Have you ever noticed strange noises coming from your gas cylinder? Don't worry; it's not uncommon, as we give you the reasons behind those mysterious sounds and what you can do about them. Why Does My Propane Tank Makes Strange Noise At Home? One of the most common reasons your gas cooking cylinder might make noise is due to changes in temperature. As the temperature fluctuates, the metal of the tank expands and contracts, creating creaking or popping sounds. This is perfectly normal and usually nothing to worry about. Another culprit for noise from your cooking gas cylinder is changes in pressure. When you use propane, the pressure inside the gas cylinder decreases, causing the remaining gas to move around and sometimes create a hissing or gurgling sound. Similarly, when the tank is refilled, the sudden influx of propane can also generate noise as it displaces air inside the tank. And sometimes, the noise may be from the regulator, which controls the flow of Lpg gas from the gas cylinder to your appliances. If the regulator is faulty or not properly installed, it can >>>> CONTINUE READING 👇 https://www.naijalpg.com.ng/2024/05/why-does-my-propane-tank-makes-strange.html

How To Start A Successful Cooking Gas Delivery Business In Nigeria? Please note, this is for retail reseller refilling businesses in Nigeria. What Do I Need To Start Gas Exchange Business? If it is with bottles, I guess you may already have: A location; and other refilling equipments like Bottles, scale, hose, filling nozzles and adaptors for different ball valves. That’s all you need. In Nigeria, you can start with (5) 50kg cylinder bottles. It depends on the size of tank you want and the location you are. So, how do i explain about a business to a clueless person? I did explain all details including example not this words "it depends". First, you need to know the capacity of tank you want do per day. Secondly, you need a good location with good population to supply to. Many rules here is that, some locations may not work for retail reseller shops like it work for lpg gas plant, east and north too that usually happens. Next, once you already established yourself in that particular area, you should look for motorcyclist or Keke (tricycle) rider to be contacting to come take refilled cylinders to customers. You should be doing deliveries to customers. Once your business is going on well, you can get a bike instead of getting a van. Doing pick up and delivery is good but not for a start (don't start what you can't finish). CONTINUE READING 👇 https://www.naijalpg.com.ng/2024/01/what-do-i-need-to-start-gas-exchange.html

LPG gas is highly flammable, which is why the necessary safety precautions should be put in place, including warning signs, boundaries and many more. Also, only experienced and skillful person on LPG gas should handle repairs, maintenance and refilling at the gas plant. One of the main reason for fire at LPG gas plants is neligence and not compiling to safety rules and regulations. Also, remember that "quality is the base of an Enterprise, and safety is the base of the staff". Safety should be the number one priority in your gas plant. Fire in an LPG gas plants m could be caused from any factors including ignition source. Others are fuel, heat and electrical components. You have to understand the basics of fire fighting, including how to use fire extinguishers effectively to be able of pull out a fire already burning. With this basics, you will be able to understand that there are precise ways to put out fire. You will notice fire sand buckets found in different spot at various LPG gas plants. These fire sand bucket contains or are filled up with sands, just in case of fire incident at the gas plant. However, one disadvantage of fire sand is that if the fire is large or spreading, then you did need just enough sand to put it out. This is more reason fire extinguishers are recommended for LPG gas plants. There are different types of fire extinguishers, as follows: i) Co2 (chemical-based) fire extinguisher ii) Soap-based fire extinguisher iii) Powder-based fire extinguisher iv) Water-based fire extinguisher. Each fire extinguisher contains the type of substance for different purposes and for the source or fuel for the fire. As you know, fires are classified as A, B, C, D, E, or K based on the cause or source of the fire. Fire is the result of reaction between the fuel and oxygen in air. In my past articles, I did an analysis of value derived from converting your vehicle to LPG. A lot of people pointed out that the government incentive is based on CNG, not LPG. So, ....today, we will be taking a closer look at the CNG option as prescribed in recent government policies. There is still a lot of confusion about it - this analysis will attempt to establish clarity in grey areas and also demonstrate, using available information and data, the viability and feasibility of this new policy. So, without further ado, here we go: Unlike LPG which is Propane/Butane, CNG means Compressed Natural Gas and is mainly comprised of a composition made of Methane. To make this analysis easy to understand, we will use Petrol as the yardstick and basis of comparison, since petrol is a well understood quantum. We are going to look at four areas of impact. 1) Comparative Cost 2) Availability / Access 3) Investment Required + ROI 4) Practicality 1) Comparative Cost To eliminate the comparative differences in energy efficiency and varying units of measurement in fuel types, I have decided to approach this from the perspective of energy density. This approach allows an equitable and constant value returned regardless of what type of fuel is addressed. The standard unit of measuring energy density across board is the "Megajoule" (MJ). Price of Petrol = N925 / Litre Price of CNG = N230 / scm Energy in 1 scm of CNG = 40MJ Energy in 1 Litre of petrol = 34.2MJ From the above data, we can deduce the following: 1 scm (cubic metre) of CNG = 1.169 litres of petrol Therefore, using a typical example of a full tank (60 Litres): - With Petrol; 60L of fuel will cost N55,500 (@ N925/L) - With CNG; Equivalent energy amount will require 60/1.169 = 51.33 scm of CNG. Approximate it to 52 scm of CNG. Therefore 52 scm of CNG will cost N11,960 (@ N230/scm). CNG presents excellent value. As far as cost goes, there is no comparison. CNG will save you over N43,000 every time you fill up your tank! This is a very significant amount that needs no further pontification. 2) Availability or Access to Fuel Type NIPCO is the strategic partner of FGN in the retail of CNG. Presently, Benin city in Edo state can be considered the CNG capital of Nigeria. Benin city was used as NIPCO test pilot for the CNG program and as such, Edo has 15 CNG filling stations spread all over the cities. Attempts are being made to expand similar service to Lagos, however to the best of my knowledge, right now Lagos only has 6 filling stations with the biggest one being located in Ibafo (along Lagos-Ibadan expressway). Abuja also has 6 new filling stations. Ibadan in Oyo state has one filling station. The rest of the nation will have to wait until such a time as Tinubu remembers them! I discovered the one serving Lekki peninsula is in Awoyaya - 40 minutes drive for me! As far as accessibility, I will give it a "E" mark at this point. Nevertheless, there is hope things will keep improving. Truth is, except for those within close proximity to these filling stations and those living in Benin city, CNG is not yet a viable alternative. 3) Required Investment + ROI I have called up to six different installers spanning across three states. The quoted cost of installation varies wildly. I have had quotes as high as >>> CONTINUE READING 👇 https://www.naijalpg.com.ng/2024/09/cng-conversion-projected-cost-and.html

In short, pigs are usually ready for slaughter when they're between 5 to 7 months old. Farmers decide based on how big the pigs are, how they've grown, and what the market wants. Knowing these things can help you raise healthy pigs and sell good-quality pork. In pig farming, knowing the right time to slaughter pigs is really important. As a pig farmer, you need to make sure the pigs are the right size and quality for selling. Pigs grow at different rates depending on their breed, what they eat, and how healthy they are. Usually, pigs are ready to be slaughtered when they're between 5 to 7 months old. By this time, they've grown enough muscles and fat for good meat quality. Weight Of Pig Matters The weight of a pig is a big factor. Farmers usually slaughter pigs when they weigh between 200 to 300 pounds (around 90 to 135 kilograms). This weight means the meat will be good and there’s enough of it to make it worth selling. In case of slaughtering pigs, different markets have different preferences. Farmers pay attention to what buyers want and adjust when they slaughter pigs based on these preferences. This helps farmers sell their pigs at the right time and make more money. Signs To Know If A Pig Is Ready For Slaughter Farmers and vets look for signs that a pig is ready for slaughter. Recently, many people are confused about whether "high school" should be written as one word or two. English is always changing, and grammar rules evolve over time. So, it's natural to question what's correct today. Traditionally, "high school" was written as two words. This followed standard grammar rules for compound nouns, where two separate words are used. However, in recent years, there has been a trend toward combining words like "high school" into one word—making it "highschool." This change is mostly seen in informal writing, influenced by the fast pace of modern communication, especially with social media and texting. Still, not everyone agrees with this new approach. Some people prefer to stick with the traditional rule and write "high school" as two words, believing it is more accurate and consistent. Ultimately, there is no definitive answer. The choice between writing "high school" as one word or two depends on context, the writing style you're following, and personal preference. In formal writing, like academic papers, it's best to use "high school" as two words. However, in casual writing or texting, "highschool" might be acceptable.
