I see! Thank you very much…But can i buy this at VFS when i go for submission or it has to be purchased before going for submission?

You can get travel insurance from most insurance companies in Nigeria. All you need to do is visit any of their websites to buy travel insurance. You don’t need an agent or anyone else to buy travel insurance.

Travel insurance is cheap in Nigeria. The price you pay depends on the company you get it from. You can compare prices.

You can get travel insurance for 7 days for as little as 3,200 naira, for 10 days for about 4500 naira, or for less than 9000 naira for one month of travel insurance.

Buy it online from any of the insurance companies. You don’t need anyone or agent before you can buy travel insurance.

Noted,im researching and i'll pick a place between NY or California but so far California is winning! They have Hollywood! but sha,i'll come back here and inform you guys as things goes! Thank you!

seyewest:
You have a big chance of getting U.S Visa if you can truthfully fill your form and back it up during the interview, I'm interested keep me posted and you should consider New York, Chicago, Florida, Washington D.C and I will personally recommend California.

You answered my question! NY! hmmm,Na visa remain! *Scratches head*

Anyway,Thanks for your time!

wuki:
You’re not making any sense here: there are things to “see and experience” in every state. So perhaps like Akeem in the movie “Coming to America” you can point on the map and flip a coin — literally speaking. To answer your question: New York City is considered a glorified version of Lagos. It’s by far the most touristy city in the U.S.

Fun,whatever i can see & experience etc! What state would you say is the Lagos of the U.S?

wuki:
Regarding your questions about needed documents: all that information is on the consulate website. What exactly do you mean by “50 - 60% of what America is all about”? Every city here in the States is quite different — culturally and historically — offering their own unique set of experiences. To bring it home: I don’t think that a tourist visiting Lagos, Nigeria can claim to have experienced “50 -60% of what Nigeria is all about” just by visiting that one city. So unless you’re visiting 50 - 60% of the U.S your question makes no sense. The real question is what do want to get out of the trip?

Hello! So im planning on applying for the b1/b2 visa! Don’t have a date/month in mind for now and don’t know what city or state to visit! But i want to go to the most INTERESTING place where i can get atleast 50-60% of what America is all about!

Profile - Engaged, have a son,In my very early 30’s,i own a business and i can afford the vacation, traveled to Singapore few times for vacay! Travel history on old passport! I’ve a fresh passport now,i can go with both for the interview! I don’t have or know anyone in the US at the moment! Just doing this on my own!

My questions - Where should i visit? What documents will i need to upload prior to the interview while filling the DS160 form? What documents will i need to go to the embassy with? (My 2 passports and statement of acct will do?) Anyone have an idea on available dates for interview in lagos?

You guys should pls advice! Not one person! I need different perspective/opinion (Pls skip the part about US embassy not issuing Visas to Nigerians like that anymore,im aware! Pls advice on the above! Thanks alooooooooot!!!
