A nurse, Shukurat Adewumi, on Monday sought the dissolution of her 17-year-old marriage to her husband, Adewale, in a Customary Court sitting at Mapo in Ibadan on grounds that he forced to have 15 abortions.
Shukurat, a mother of three, made the claim in her counter argument before Chief Ademola Odunade, the court’s President.

NAN reports that she said;

”He forced me to have abortion 15 times, putting my life at risk.

”He denied paternity of my three children.

“Some years ago when he left me to live with his concubine, Adewale returned home well ill and I took care of him.

The Federal Government on Monday said despite the recent increase in the price of Premium Motor Spirit to N162 per litre, the price of the commodity in Nigeria remained among the cheapest in Africa.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said this at a press conference in Abuja.

Mohammed was joined at the briefing by the Minister of Power, Sale Mamman; and the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva.

The minister said,
“In spite of the recent increase in the price of fuel to N162 per litre, petrol prices in Nigeria remain the lowest in the West/Central African sub-regions.

A woman was left without a forehead for two years after her feet slammed into her face when her car crashed.
Grainne Kealy’s feet were ­resting on the dashboard when the car she was in crashed and her knees were forced into her face by the airbag that inflated under her feet.

Grainne’s boyfriend’s jeep was travelling at 120mph when the accident happened.

The now 36-year-old, was 22 when the accident happened and she’s still recovering years later.

Doctors had to remove Grainne’s forehead and she said it made her look “a little strange”.

Grainne, from Laois, Ireland, told Fabulous magazine: “When the jeep collided with the wall the airbags inflated as they do but because my feet were on top of mine it actually pushed my feet, knees first into my face.”
