This new rates affects old houses as landlords start renovating to modern standards to partake in new rate .

50naira stamp duty isn't new at all.. it's been there for some years. The responsibility has just been shifted from payee to payer

Opay don't charge the sender, but the receiver, from next year, both the sender and receiver will pay N50.
Currently only the receiver pays the N50, from next year, the sender will start paying it,.
What it means is that if you are sending N10,000+ to your love ones, bank will charge a total of N100, N50 from u and N50 from them.
Example, if you want to send N10000 for something urgent, you have to have N10100, then you will send N10050, bank will deduct 50 from your account, when it reach the receiver, they will get N10,000 after bank have deducted another N50.
This charges is only for stamps duty, and other charges will be included during the transaction
