This is definitely a panel for a 24 volt system, and so you need to series it with another of the same panel in order to get a 48volt from the connection. Your inverter voltage must always match your system voltage.

Solar panel compatibility should be checked primarily from the solar charge controller's perspective, not solely based on the inverter system voltage.

Yes, you can use this panel with a 48V system. However, the important questions are: How many panels do you plan to use? And what are the specifications of your solar charge controller?

Without answers to these questions, it would be difficult to provide a proper recommendation or assistance.

I think the max your inverter can output is 1.5kw cos that 1.48 you're getting is poor compared to what the percentage output should be

To be honest I admire your attitude and the way you have taken everyone's contribution on your matter.

I think within the one year period you have given yourself to upgrade to lithium you will learn a lot. The thing you have going for you is that lithium batteries will probably be cheaper in a year's time and Lead's value will probably keep going up, which means the secondhand value of your batteries will still be ok as scrap (BTW I am measuring in dollars and not our pitiful currency).

Keep it up and try and keep this board updated on your journey. In maybe 2 years time you'll understand why we all advised you the way we did and you'll probably be doing the same with a newbie that comes to you asking a similar question.

Also, have you tried the AC yet? Interested to know if your setup successfully carried it.

All batteries including car batteries will serve you within short period of installation. Which will stand test of time is the question that no longer beg for answers.

Let me push small fear into your spine.Unless you power just tv, charging, and bulbs will this set up do 2 or 3 years or less with careful pampering before you will notice large difference in capacity. Raining season is even coming....how will you full charge it?Sulphation will kill it by then.

If you add freezer, iron, etc be rest assured your system will fail in less than a year.

Assuming you didn't know this thread before now it would have been a different issue of "had I know". But you deliberately shot your upper limb with your eyes opened .

2 tubulars is roughly 550k or more, that is more than the cost of 16 pieces of 50ah LifePO4 at 48v with more than 12yrs life span mixed with rugged usage along with washing machine, freezer, iron, all electronics etc without pampering. Today is April 3, 2025 see you in 2026 for update.

Its good that you are here. You already saw the reactions of my people. See u can get something better with ur N1.8m or with just small addition. Now let's recommend solution:
1. Where is ur location?
2. You could go for 2kw panels, 4.2kw Welion inverter, Valto 3.5kw LFP, protective devices, installation. If na me be u, if I go for this, I will ditch the a/c and go for Qasa 18' standing fan jeje de enjoy my life. Tinubu no send anybody o. All d best

Inverter size = ok
Panels= barely acceptable
Batteries= inadequate, below standard

At best your batteries should never go beyond pushing out 520w continuously and the most efficient 1hp "inverter" ACs are around 500-650w in my limited experience. As for non-inverter ACs, I haven't really experienced them on an inverter yet but its safe to say you'll be asking your system to push out upwards of 750w and I've not even brought up the initial draw.

At best you may be able to get an hour or two on a sunny day where your panels do all the work, but without sun, your batteries by themselves would sag and suffer to deal with the stress of switching on the AC let alone running it by themselves.

In short, you should have gone with Lithium batteries if you had plans to carry this kind of heavy load.

You can buy 2 more of the same batteries if you want to improve your chances of starting up the AC but if possible I'd suggest returning them and just go and invest the money on proper lithium batteries.

I contacted someone who after talking to him we agreed on 4kva which he said will carry my non inverter 1 hp Hisense AC. We agreed on 1.8 and he'll be using 400w panels x 4. I want to know if it's a good deal on my part or if the panels is not enough for that. He sent me some tubular batteries which I'll post below. I'm just new to this and don't want to get burnt.
