@German007, you've got a wise old head, Spot on comments: "Its only those that know your background that can determine what's in your pocket" especially those in your old hood. @Richcookie, Bruv, you grew up in Mushin and were a bus conductor for a month!!!!! You dont need our advice on 9JAR? LOL, Bruv even after 30yrs in Yankee you'll adjust well in no time, LOL Anyway I'm just teasing you BUT actually when you've lived in JAND for a while, one does get "culture shock" on arrival to 9JAR (right from the airport!!!). Sometimes, I fly through Abuja and shuttle to Lagos via local airport. "Everyone" seems too menacing but give it a couple of days/weeks and you'll be back to your "mushin" self, LOL Best advice is DON'T/TRY NOT to show off (clothing, cars, cash, etc) even if you live where people dont know you. "WORD" will get around that you are a J.J.C!!!!! Immediately I get into 9JAR, I strip off my swagger baffs and wear native (kaftans) and stick to a story like "I'm relocating from Benin, Abuja, Jos, etc" Goodluck to all you returneeessss, Cheers, Bruvdotcom |
@Emeshot, I'm sorry for making this comment on your thread BUT German007 is right. I've also noticed that there are some "bored CLOWNS" on NAIRALAND [auto section] making silly comments about the price posted for cars. Please, Please, Please, Monitor_1 can't you screen comment's before they are posted on a thread for relevance [Including mine ofcos for fairness] Cheers & goodluck Emeshot [Very lovely ride i must say] |
Please may I get a VIN check on VIN: JT6HF10U3X0038477 Cheers, |
@MrLoverMAn; I reckon the moral of the gist is "If it looks too good to be true, then it aint", LOL Jokes aside, I always use a formula when buying/reviewing property for rental. [Might work for Detroit] If its smack bang in the city centre/business district area, you dont "usually" go wrong. It will rent/lease, |
@german007, remain blessed!!! You have just given the best advise ever for someone trying to settle back into 9Jar. However, I reckon its also advisable to always carry "some" cash when going out in case @ sometime (we pray NOT) "they" demand by force (@ least you've got some change on ya), LOL I'm also planning a "semi" relocation after 15yrs in JAND BUT just cant bring myself & family to relocate fully (It wont be fair on wifey & kids) LOL. Hmm, also, try to avoid "night" waka or restrict it to the island, Just my 2 pence. GOODLUCK!!!! Cheers, Bruv |
@9inch; Plz does ur wheelbarrow wheel "spin", wats the Vin? |
@Monitor_1; Plz can you link the Vin checks properly so we don't have to scroll all Vin checks to view the one we are interested in, Cheers' @Truthd; Plz if you want to mess about on Nairaland, can you NOT do it on the auto section. FYI there is also a "romance/i'm just bored" page on nairaland. You've got your rights [no doubt] BUT don't infringe on other peoples rights. YOUR TYPE IS TURNING FOLKS OFF NAIRALAND!!!! aiight. |
@friendl & Monitor_1 Are we missing something here? Donfidel is right, the pics posted are NOT all the same, seems one is for a Camry (but not sure though). The air vents on top of the sat nav for the ML is circular while another pic shows it as rectangular [There are other spot the difference issues] Also, Monitor_1 has posted a wrong CarFax link for this "very nice looking", "well priced" ML. [Please correct the errors] Cheers, Bruvdotcom |

@EDO/YORUBA, Ooops I must have touched a nerve there. I'm so sorry if it hurts BUT what I meant about LHD being cheaper is the stress factor involved in converting a RHD car. One might be better off just buying a LHD car (either in Nigeria,Timbuktu, USA, EU, etc) without much worry. It will be rather difficult to calculate "in monetary terms" the stress and worry involved in the conversion [before, during and after, ] Anyway, thanks for the info you posted on the details of RHD 2 LHD, TRUCE? Please, see below a very helpful link monitor_1 sent me for those still interested in converting RHD 2 LHD: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-240841.0.html Cheers, |
Hmm, thanks for the info chaps but I reckon its safer and less costly to buy a LHD car. I'm sorry BUT I dont trust ANYONE in Ladipo/Mushin, sad innit? CASE CLOSED, |
Cheers for the info, |

Plz can we see pics of this car, ? Cheers, ![]() |
Please, does anyone know who can convert a RHD car to LHD in Lagos, an idea of how much it costs and how long it will take. The car I intend to convert is a Honda Accord 1999 model currently in the UK. Cheers, ![]() |
