Meanwhile forget your uncles and focus on building your own professional network. you are more likely to be assisted in securing a job by a stranger than family.
First step is, determine the career you want for yourself
Look for a mentor in that field to guide you
Connect and talk to professionals in that field, via LinkedIn
Seek for internship, volunteering to gather experience
Attend career seminars and events where you will meet top guns and network. Your network is your net-worth (some good jobs are not always advertised on job sites)
Have a well packaged CV, professional email and cover letter (I can help write a professional CV for a token)

I have a degree in Statistics, University of Nigeria.

Everything is not just working fine for me in getting a legitimate job. All my savings have all gone for transportation from one job interview point to another. I even travelled to KANO metropolis from the east shortly after my service year because a friend advised me that I will get a job but I couldn't after I spent about 17,000 Naira for transportation during the journey . I came back to Lagos to look for something doing, I attended Aiico insurance marketing training with no salary only commission based but after about 2 months no one is buying insurance.
The painful part was that , I went for another job training with an outsourcing firm hoping after the last stage I will get the job 35k monthly, but we are all told to go home.
I have been hustling from one Interview to another with all my savings depleted as the transportation expenses in Lagos in killing . Uncles deserted me just because I asked them to help me for a job,they stop picking my calls.

My mum is looking up to me, she's ageing already.

Please I call on all well meaning Nairalanders who God has lifted up, please come to my rescue. I need to gain back my sanity. I just need a job.
