I can't even track mine if issued or not cos it' keeps coming out as error Mayb cos this interview was scheduled since 2021..
I went to DHL and ois today and they said my passport isn't back yet, I called the embassy and was told to call another line to find out why and they even stated that cos of the holidays they had that it's not yet 10 working days...

Will give uodate when I have..

Im having same situation mine is even 2days. I don dey lament already and no one is saying anything regarding it since I said something about it here... Maybe you should make a physical appearance to the office if you are far away to help check their system maybe they didn't update it.

I had my follow up interview two weeks ago and visa was approved but my passport isn't ready for collection as seen on the OIS website. It's about 12 working days now since the interview.

Has anyone had this kinda experience and what do you advise I do.

Please how many days does it take for the ois Portal to list your passport as available for pick up. It's past two days ceac said issued but ois still says not yet available for pickup. Just want to know how many day it took and can take

Write that you attended an interview on a particular date and was requested to submit additional document and the date you submitted it ,Please you need an update. You can use chat GPT to generate one, the mail must be polite.

My visa got approved 2 days after I sent the mail.

Please did I get the format for the subject right or am I to put my full name instead of the full name I wrote in the subject?

1. You were fortunate to bypassed AVITS IW confirmation letter, during the period when OIS was overriding b/cos of the trial and errors going on then. Wrong Case ID number is synonymous with 221g, and other type of VISA applications eg C1 visa etc and what you could have done is to raise ticket or email the embassy directly.

2. Since you have dropped off successfully with OIS, and they collected your documents, then i believe the embassy is processing your VISA application, and if need be ' auto-correct your Case ID stuff or call your attention to it.

3. 221g decision is unpredictable, but
ABUJA post says : if 60 days has passed that we have contacted you about your 221g case, you should contact us, while LAGOS post says if 90 days has passed. Therefore, you can use any of the email i quoted on my last response to @Shantymartin12 based on your submission post to contact the USA embassy after those aforementioned periods, to know the status of your application.

PS: You can track your VISA status on OIS website too.

Please I've got someone that was given a 221g also since August, then the profile was created on avits but it's always saying (entered case ID is wrong please try again). So we just ignored and went ahead to submit to OIS for dropoff, we've dropped off since August but yet to get a response on the status yet... IS IT OKAY TO IGNORE THE AVITS APPOINTMENT REAPPLICATION? since it's saying case ID is wrong but it's the correct case ID we input.. The category is F22

1. Yes , the 221g slip is well-detailed in explanation. First, you must visit AVITS to create profile :

* Sign up, * Chose location, * Chose payment option, * Pay (within 3 days) the VISA fee via the option chosen, * Await payment confirmation (perhaps , after 24hrs) , and proceed with the booking of your appointment. You will be asked IW payment questionnaire during your appointment booking. After that , the USA embassy will send IW qualification letter to you.

2. Once you have received the IW qualification letter from the embassy, you will proceed to OIS

Sign up, and book a drop -off appointment, in order to go and drop the 221g required documents (Travel passport , the Police character report , Copy of the 221g letter. You will be able to monitor or track your VISA application through your AVITS and OIS profiles.

* You seems to be processing K1 VISA. Anyways, that's the interpretation of your 221g to the best of my understanding.

* You may also raise a ticket inside your AVITS profile , by uploading the said documents in lieu of the ceac.state.gov site

Please has anyone with immigrant visa 221g been issued with the last six months at the lagos embassy? has any one with immigrant visa 221g been able to contact the embassy on either email or phone call? Has anyone with immigrant visa 221g been migrated from previous visa service provider ustraveldocs to usvisaappt because I haven’t been able to get responses from the emails sent nor able to get them on phone and it’s 120 days after interview and 60 days after document submission.thank you in advance to anyone with useful info

Well regarding the drop off at OIS office and not getting a tracking ID,they said you ain't suppose to get one.

Just keep checking your appointment.oisservices to know when your passport gets to theoffice

You need to keep checking and might take a while (7weeks in my case) for the status to change.

Be patient and pray whilst at it.

I am co-asking this question because my mum was not given any slip when she dropped off too and I don’t know what to do to track the visa status.

I guess no one is answering the question. I've checked my ceac status daily for over two weeks no changes in the status. I will just go back to the OIS to confirm if the documents had been delivered.
