The problem with subsidy was that refined fuel was sold at a price below the price of production. Everything else, including the corrpupion you speak of, has its origin in subsidy on fuel.

But you are asking for government to subsidise oil to N105 per liter. That means a subsidy of about 800-1000 naira per liter, which would eat over two thirds of our budget, if not more, leading the government to borrow more and more money.

It's like you guys don't understand why subsidy had to go. And even now, bringing in a subsidy would wreck our earnings badly.
