"What are you doing currently"? I am currently working, and my father is providing financial sponsorship for my student visa.

"What year was the visa refusal?" 2023 and 2024.

Are you below 18?

If not I will advise you tell your dad to transfer the money into your account..
You can as well discuss your proof of fund to comes from your dad, showing evidence.

Provide proof of your job such as contract letter and discuss reason for your refusal and how you have corrected it positively moving forward.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph R216(1)(b)of the IRPR.

I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:

"Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s) if applicable)."

"Pursuant to paragraph 220(b) of the IRPR, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study."

Based on my little experience, you can apply to study in the UK.

First step.
Declare all your refusal and during your applications, upload all of them..

If I may ask, what are you doing currently..
What year was the visa refusal?
This two questions are very important to address how you will tailor your statement of purpose..

Because you need to make the home office know that ever since the previous refusal, you have improve your self positivity and financially..
That is, you have rectify that by working various jobs(show proof) and that you have been saving some percentage of those money..

You show attached two statements.. one explaining the refusal details and how you have improved yourself over the years and the second is statement of purpose, explaining why your master degree is important to you along side your future goals and why you will need to come back to Nigeria to support, help/ add to the current society such as giving back to the community.. Very important.. you can also claim that all your family are in Nigeria and you will like to live with them in Nigeria after masters, that's if your master is not research.
You just have to show tangible proof that you will leave UK after your master for the purpose of the visa application.

And please, if you are doing the new application, irrespective of the number of days your visa might take, ensure the money is in your account till you get a positive news. Ire ooo

The university of Beth program you applied for, was it MRes? And if yes, trust that their MRes allows dependant?

No, it's a taught program...
2 years.

But am sure they have MRes..

Bio 25th July (In Thailand)
NFS : 12 August
Used CAS email today (19th August) from University of Bath (5:pm Thailand time)

Visa approval today as well.(19 August 10:42 pm Thailand time)
Proof of fund: parallex bank (which made me scared) I had over 1500 pounds above the requested fee and I ensure I used that bank for various transactions during.
Also I left the money intact in my bank account till I see my visa..

I used same bank statement I submitted for my CAS. And luckily, my CAS was issued same day.. on 16th of July.. submitted online application on 20th cos I was waiting for bank reference letter which came late.

Note: I had one authorisation of stay refusal from Luxembourg, thou not a visa refusal because authorization of stay is usually issue even before visa application to Luxembourg ( I had to declare for the sake of transparency)

I didn't remember to add my authorisation of stay refusal letter so I did a paid email on 7th August to allow me do that but got a feedback that I won't be able to add any further documents and if they need any further documents from my end, they will reach out. (I also added a cover letter about the refusal)


Truly, God knows the best.
In addition, 2nd masters program.(Quite scared as well)

No interview.( I added a statement of purpose with proper explanation)

In case I miss any helpful info, I will drop that later.
