Religion / Re: Tithing: Where Does The Money Go? by Bukolar1(f): 4:06pm On Nov 18, 2017

I was just wondering...

Where do these big big pastors get money to own this luxurious luxurious things when it's not like they own chain of biznesses like Dangote ?

Honestly speaking, like some suggested tithes and offerings are just two of the numerous ways pastors get free money, when you attend a Church conference, convention or crusade , you are asked to SOWa particular amount of money to get either Abrahamic blessings or Isaac's blessings e.t.c. This doesn't stop there, if u re believing God for d fruit of the womb u pay a certain amount of money depending on the purse. Now apart from general SEED of millions etc. Have you not seen a church where all the salaries of the Church members for the the first month in the year belong to pastors(First fruits), apart from the hononaries from politicians and contributions from the business moguls in the society.
This is why so many people want to become a man of God
Now I can see why some pastors will go to any length including using local charms to draw plenty members to their churches. God is watching

Men of God don't collect offerings nor tithes. Ushers do.

hmmmmm .... so ushers collect the tithes and offerings and sent it straight to God? The problem is that we keep deceiving ourselves and that's why Christians are mad at this Tithe trend. This is the time to tell ourselves nothing but the truth.

A personal relationship with a holy book, a messiah, an institutional building and system. I'd have better luck saying Game of thrones is a reality show.

ehhh. so Christianity no more a religion? God help us to think straight and deliver our brains from being washed away the more.

I have noticed this pastor don't touch lives until there is 'a matter arising' that was how he was dashing out money to some people during the Otobogate palava. Now its tithegate .This is enough for anybody to see the level of pretence and eye service. Its serious.

You are not a christian and you don't know how the church runs. A bank manager is not the owner of the bank money. A pastor is a volunteer , he's not the owner of church money . Every ministry has structure . Pastors are not paid for thier work. Most ministry will not even send someone to pastor a church unless he has a lucrative job. He preaches ,counsel and goes home . The officials takes offerings to bank . Most the pastor may only look at the record to pray over it . The pastor is accountable to the church headquarters . He cannot make expenditure without approval from there . There are checks and balances . You guys just post your own mind online without getting facts

but the money taken to the bank isn't sent into God's account directly right. why do we keep deceiving ourselves? It's obvious something is wrong along the line. and the reason why most serving pastors break away to found their own churches is simply cos of the maltreatment they get from the big pastors they serve under. They know there is money in it, not only tithes but offerings and seeds and first fruits e.t.c

OK. so how come pastors don't encourage the church to practice the Feast type of tithing or the third type?. Only Malachi 3:8-10 is preached every Sunday. Making Christians feel quilts, all the time. God help us
