Today we celebrate motherhood

As Christians especially the Catholic and Anglican dominations celebrate mother's today, it's a call to deeper reflection on the roles of mothers in the society.

It's not unusual for people to showcase their mothers on days like this. Alot of people also go to their parents houses to celebrate with their mums and wives, buying expensive gifts and others.

Mother's also organise several events to mark this special day. These may include sports and entertainment events, visit to the orphanage and less privileged homes, skill acquisition training for mothers and young girls, seminars and career workshop as we as marriage seminars.

Summarily, this is one of the event people look forward to yearly and this year it's special as the two most populated churches in Nigeria are celebrating.

Giving to God's work is nice. Sowing seeds, giving tithes and offerings are also good. But why do several Christians do this, yet no tangible improvement or real improvements in their lives?
Why Christians remain stagnant after giving seeds, offerings and tithes.

(1) Giving on the wrong altar: If the church you are giving to is using satanic power, you cannot make it.

(2) Giving without Divine direction: Always giving without God's leading may lead to stagnation. You also should give because you are motivated, manipulated or coerced. Give only when God leads...

(3) Giving without Praying: When you give rightly to God, spend quality time to pray on the seed, tithe, offering.

(4) Giving money from corruption: When you give money gotten from hookup, yahoo, gambling, contract price inflation, bribery e.t.c, God will not reward it.

(5) Giving with critical spirit: When you give and still assume your church or other good churches are thieves, you may see nothing tangible.

(6) Not giving to the Poor: Giving to the church and ignoring the poor and needy may lead to low impact of your giving.

(7) Giving with ulterior motive: Giving with the intention that when God blesses you, you will show your enemies, neighbours you have arrived, may hinder blessings.

( Giving with Pride: Giving to show off may hinder blessings.

(9) Giving with Offense and Sin: If you have not forgiven those who offended you and if you have sin in your life, it can hinder blessings even after giving.
