Technology Market › Whatsapp Has Introduced A New Music Status Feature. by BUMBLEBEETECH(op): 10:54am On Mar 19, 2025
WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to add music to their status updates, enhancing the way they share moments with friends and family. This feature functions similarly to Instagram's music-sharing option, enabling users to select tracks from a vast music library and incorporate them into their statuses.
How to Add Music to Your WhatsApp Status:
Update WhatsApp: Ensure you have the latest version of WhatsApp installed on your device.
Access Status: Open WhatsApp and navigate to the 'Status' tab.
Create a New Status: Tap on the camera icon to capture a new photo or video, or select existing media from your gallery.
Add Music:
Tap on the music icon located at the top right corner of the screen.
Browse through the available songs in the built-in music library.
Select the desired track.
Adjust the specific 15-second segment of the song you wish to feature.
Finalize and Share: After customizing your status with the chosen music, tap 'Send' or 'Post' to share it with your contacts.
When your contacts view your status, they'll hear the selected music playing alongside your photo or video, with the song's title displayed at the top.
This feature is gradually rolling out to users. If you don't see it immediately, ensure your app is updated and keep an eye out for its availability in upcoming updates.
Incorporating music into your WhatsApp statuses offers a more dynamic and personalized way to express yourself, making your updates more engaging and reflective of your current mood or activities.

In many countries, pornography is tightly controlled or outright banned due to cultural, religious, or legal reasons. While some nations enforce strict internet censorship, others impose heavy penalties on production and distribution. Recently, Nigeria joined the list of countries taking a firm stance against adult content, ordering a nationwide shutdown of pornographic websites. Here’s a look at the countries where pornography is either fully banned or heavily restricted.

China – Strict censorship laws prohibit pornography, with harsh penalties for distribution.
India – While personal viewing isn't illegal, the distribution, production, and sale of pornography are banned. The government also blocks adult websites periodically.
United Arab Emirates (UAE) – Strict laws against pornography, with severe punishments including fines and imprisonment.
Saudi Arabia – Completely banned, with internet filters blocking adult content.
Iran – Strict prohibition, with harsh penalties for accessing or distributing pornography.
North Korea – Extremely strict laws, with severe punishment for anyone caught consuming or distributing adult content.
Pakistan – The government actively blocks pornographic websites and penalizes those who distribute such material.
Bangladesh – Banned under obscenity laws, with crackdowns on online adult content.
Indonesia – Strict anti-porn laws, including significant penalties for distribution and access.
Turkey – Some forms of pornography are restricted, with periodic website bans.
Nigeria – In March 2025, the House of Representatives ordered a nationwide shutdown of pornographic websites, directing the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to enforce the ban.

Partially Restricted or Censored:

South Korea – Production and distribution are illegal, though personal viewing is largely tolerated.
Thailand – Strict laws against producing and distributing porn, but online access remains widespread.
Russia – Heavy restrictions on pornography, with many websites blocked.
