Someone has just lost his job due to downsizing. 
And he/she does not  know what to do next.
Any ideas on how to get himself/herself back in the workforce

Yes, you have a lot of assets --
You may have Cars, designer clothes, household goods, money in your account, property/houses, things you stand to inherit from some one so close etcetera,

but how much are you really worth
In Assets, liabilities or character/integrity?

According to  Machiavelli, the best way to treat your enemies is to destroy them completely, when he  said:
"For it must be noted, that men must either be caressed or else annihilated; they will revenge themselves for small injuries, but cannot do so for great ones; the injury therefore that we do to a man must be such that we need not fear his revenge."

But we are enjoined by our Christian/religious faith to treat our enemies kindly

How best do you think one should Deal With his/her Enemies

If you got this boy who's got all the qualities you want in a man. I mean he's all you've ever wanted in a man but the boy daily murders the Queens English. I mean, he can't just make a correct sentence in English and your english is "Janded". What'll you do? Leave him on account of his English or make do with what you have?

Change his citizenship to 'Queens nationality'
then get bleach and wash him to Queens colour
Get a cosmetic surgeon to work on his Nose, lips and colour of eyes.
Transplant his hair with Queens hair
Wetin remain, make una remind me jare
