I don't think it has to do with mentality. What works for you might not work for another, there are exceptions to some rules. As for me, whether boyfriend, male friend or elder brother, when I go for a visit, I cook if I please and sometimes they do d cooking while I help out or watch t.v and at times we eat out. It's a matter of personality, in my own view.
