Tallesty1: Jesus, Mary, etc didn't snap pictures. What you see today is not their picture but pictures of foriegn gods. We certainly don’t need a picture to display the nature of our Lord and Savior. We have only to look at His creation, as we are reminded in Psalm 19:1–2. We were not given the details of what He looks like because it is not really needed. If the details of His physical appearance were important for us to know, Matthew, Peter, and John would certainly have given us an accurate description, as would Jesus’ own brothers, James and Jude but the didn't

delishpot: Its wrong unless its the real picture of Jesus as in if jesus has his real picture taken by an angel and shown across the sky to mankind then its ok to have that one. Then I also hate when pastor puts his face nd that of his wife on sunday service IVs.
I understand if its their wedding, or child dedication or other personal stuff. But to invite people to come worship God and then display ya photo? To me its not a wise step

Is it wrong to have pictures of Jesus in your homes, under your pillow or in your school bag and all of that? To start with, No one truly knows what Jesus looks like, what we have is what we "think" he looks like. Over the years pictures have been created and passed down generations till a standard image of Jesus was created, such that when we look at the picture we say/conclude that that's how Jesus must have looked like.

I have heard a true life story of someone's near death experience, and the little guy claimed Jesus was nothing like what we pictured...i don't know if it cause He's now in heaven or not, but my point is, Should we even keep a supposed image of Jesus? Would God have wanted it so? Did he ever command the Israelites to do that in the olden days? Did He ever tell Moses when he saw Him face to face to seat and paint Him then give the Israelites to hang it in their homes and on their beds and all of that?

Can Jesus be reduced to a two-dimensional image? Is the bible not enough guide as to who Jesus truly is, both inside and out?

Deuteronomy 4:15-19 says,
15 You saw no form of any kind the day the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the fire. Therefore watch yourselves very carefully,
16 so that you do not become corrupt and make for yourselves an idol, an image of any shape, whether formed like a man or a woman,
17 or like any animal on earth or any bird that flies in the air,
18 or like any creature that moves along the ground or any fish in the waters below.
19 And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars – all the heavenly array – do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshipping things the Lord your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven.

So why are there images of Jesus everywhere? If you claim there is nothing wrong, like i said before, why was there never a form of God for the Israelites in the olden days. All they had was the Ark Of Covenant and the laws which God told them to wear. But in our days there are painted images and pictures of angels and Jesus whereby people end up worshiping the created things rather than the creator.

2. My dad has always had issues with some pastors. For example, it's Christmas or Church Dedication or a Celebration and the church has to give out souvenirs. On the souvenirs, drawn big and bold is the face of the pastor, and his wife and sometimes the kids, then the name of the church. With no reference to Christ at all. My dad always felt these pastors were taking glory for themselves which to him is very wrong ...Do you think so too? What would be the best way of printing out church souvenirs without making it seem like the pastor is taking glory for the work of God

So God doesn't exist?

Weah96: God created Satan like a software programmer creates an android app. Satan never stood a chance because he's an app. Read Isaiah 45:7. God says that he's the author of evil. Fortunately, for us all, I'm glad to announce that there is not a shred of evidence, implied or real, which shows that this biblical God person exists. Nada. Zilch. It's all based on blind faith.

1. Matthew 6: 14 says: "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."...Does this mean that since the time have kept a grudge with this person...God has not been forgiving me my sins? God has not been answering my prayers?....Does it always work that way?

2. In John 20: 23 Jesus was sending out His disciples to go and preach to the people, then he said, "If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven." That means we have the power to forgive a random person's sins, just like God would? So instead of people confessing their sins to God and asking for forgiveness, they can as well meet us, tell us their sins....we forgive them, and so therefore God automatically forgives them in heaven too....is that the way it works?

3. Can we ever stop sinning? Have you met a person who doesn't sin anymore? Can we ever be holy on earth?

4. Random question, Can Satan read our minds or know our thoughts?

Yes, i know this is a bizarre question, and am sure you are wondering why i would even ask such. But occasionally, some thoughts come to one's mind and you find yourself wondering why some things are the way they are.

I have thought about issues like this since i was a lot younger, things like, what would happen if satan repents, why is there even hell, why can't we all just go into extinction...you know all those kindof stuff

....Should I forgive satan?....Should we forgive satan? Mark 11:25, 1 Cor 13, Luke 6:37 and so many other bible passages talk about love and forgiveness...The bible also talks about forgiving 70 times 7 times. So why can't we forgive satan? There are some people that literally worship satan and they don't even know. Let me explain, whatever/whoever you hate or do not forgive, has power over you, the person cages you and you do not even know it. At the mention of the person's name you just get angry and think of all the wrong the person has ever done. Without even realizing it, the person has the ultimate power over you, controls your thoughts, your way of life and so many other things. Forgiveness on the other hand sets you free.

Christ teaches us about love. How can a religion so deeply rooted in love, have a strong and passionate hate for another...be it angel or man. So many Churches hate satan so much so that the entire church service is dedicated to him. They do not say one sentence without calling his name. They virtually don't even have time for any other thing apart from "Satan fall down and die"


So what exactly are my questions?

Questions

1. Why can't we just forgive Satan each time he hurts us, instead of carrying him in our mind and sending him to the bottomless pit...like he still wouldn't go there?...Should we forgive satan?

2. Is it possible to forgive someone and not hate the person....is it possible to love satan?

3. Can we add satan in our prayers regularly and ask that God have mercy on him and that he comes to repentance?....Is that not what True 'Love' is? To love without reason....Unconditional, Selfless, Agape Love?
