What is the right manner? BRAV0O: Yes , but jealous in a right manner |
Pls the bible passage. Thanks RedArmies12: A jealous heart is an evil heart |
For real? Are we not supposed to walk in God's footsteps? Is there a bible passage telling us not to be jealous? john1632: God might be jealous in terms of his children serving other gods. So op don't confuse us wit dis. A christain is nt suppose 2 get jealous over anytin cos it's a fruit of d flesh. |
So God is wrong for being jealous? dammymadboi: Mumu.it not right for anybody to be jealous |
OK. So God being our role model...can we be jealous cause He can be jealous too? mascot87: Jealousy is a silent killer |
Erm... i don't grab, pls break it down jmoore: God owns all of us, that's why he is a jealous God when he sees humans worshipping other gods. |
Samiceman: Owk,are u asking a question or giving us reasons to get jealous?Lol. Question: Is it wrong to be jealous? |
As Christians, we can be Jealous right? We can be Jealous about our brother getting a car and we have nothing, we can be Jealous when our family gives much more attention to one sibling than the whole lot, we can be Jealous when our bestfriend is focusing on another instead of us. Jealousy is a product of love...right? Exodus 20: 5 and so many other passages tell us about God being Jealous. If God is a Jealous God, then who are we 'NOT' to be Jealous? Pls continue after the cut Lets break it down into bits 1. Is Jealousy a product of Love....Yes or No? 2. God is our ultimate model. The one we must follow, the one true, and perfect and holy being. If God can be Jealous, then we can too?... Is being Jealous Right or Wrong? A. If it's right, then why do most people leave a relationship because their partners are "too Jealous"? Why can't we all see it as a good thing not a bad thing? B. If it's wrong, then why is God a Jealous God? God whose footsteps we must follow, can be Jealous, and He says it boldly and shows it, yet we that are His own should not? If it's right with God then why is it wrong with man? Aren't we created in God's likeness and image? |

Maybe....i think Guys generally just lack self control psucc: Me think men had that privilege from their Creator. |
Yea i know he doesn't...i was just wondering why there wasn't a law in place to sanction the man hushmail: 1. D woman was not accounted for n brought forward cos literally speaking she is property of a man. Ie a man has paid d bride price |
If you don't have anything to say don't talk pls..thanks! mmsen: Only a fool looks to the Bible for guidance. |
John 8:3-5 reads: "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, 'Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery....Pause... Can adultery be committed with one's self? Where is the man? Did he die or something? Why wasn't he brought forward? Continue.... Vs 5: "In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” The Law of Moses, is the Law of God, Christ came to uphold the law. Did the Law of God exempt a man who commits adultery? Questions 1. Why exactly was the man not accounted for and brought forward? Is it safe to say God ordered only the women to be punished in such situations? 2. Bringing it back to our world today.....why is it not a big deal when men cheat? Could we truly say that by default God built in that attribute in all men?...Like they could choose to dwell on it or not, but by default all men are more likely to cheat than the female folks because God created them that way..because they were built in that pattern? What do you think guys? |

Man-made? For real?? Liveair: See how you throw caution to the wind just because of your belief, calling those who don't believe "f**ls". How are you better than a fundamentalist? |
I have always had issues with Faith. It's hard for me to just believe what i cannot see or feel, it's much easier to recoil into doubt and fear. But then the unseen is much more real than what we see, that brings us to the topic. Hebrews 11:6 says," But without faith it is impossible to please Him..." And one of the ways we can please God is by giving our all to him, which means salvation, the question now is, do you have faith because you are saved or are saved because you have faith? Let's break it down, 1. Is faith inherent in every human being? or Does God give us the faith to believe in Him? Romans 12:3 says:"...I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned." So would it be safe to say God assigns a measure of faith to everyone? If that is the case, why are unbelievers at fault if they don't have faith? 2. Do you get faith to be saved? or you get faith because you are saved? Is salvation created by faith or is faith created by salvation? 3. This particular question is kinda out of context. Satan was created pure, before satan there was no satan...if you understand what i mean. Satan is the enemy, the deceiver, the one that lures everyone to sin.....Who lured satan to sin? How did satan become evil? Really looking forward to reading your thoughts. Thanks |
It was back then in school. I think on a Sunday morning, can’t remember the day, but i can remember the effect the event had on me. I had slept as usual, but the dream was different this time around. The details are sketchy, i'm sure it’s in my diary but I can’t get to it at the moment. What I can remember was that i was with someone, I think a member of my family. We were in a really small room. It seemed we were hiding there and somehow we already knew rapture had taken place ,don't know how we knew, but we knew. From the window of the small room we could see it was dark and lots of people were running for their lives as men in horses and all those stuff were pursuing them. Can’t recall vividly the punishment you will be given once caught, but I heard people wailing, crying and screaming in pain. I was scared, very. I could hear a man going through every house searching and looking for anyone they may have missed. Somehow they missed searching my room, I heard them searching the next room after ours. And then all of sudden the room I was in started collapsing, I held on tightly to the person I was with. Once the room was down, the men outside realized they had missed our room and came for us. We started running. I ran so hard that my legs were paining me. I guess they caught the person I was with cause when I turned to look for her, she was gone. I didn’t want them to catch me so I kept running with all my might until my chest was heavy. They caught up with me and took me. As they were about to beat me up and give me some form of punishment, someone ran out, he was like a savior, he came immediately and told them to stop, that they should not harm me. I happily looked up on him, but then I realized this could not be a real savior, since Jesus had already come to take his people away. Anyway, at the guy’s instruction, they all stopped. The guy took me by my hand and told me that he loves me. He said he has always loved me, but I never really did like him. He told me that he would spare me from all of these pain and suffering and hardship, that all I had to do was to receive the mark. I told him could not do that. He asked me again, telling me that this would be the last time he was giving me this opportunity. I said same. Then he told them to take me away, to where “they” were. The guys led me and took me to this very big room, in there everyone was dressed in the same outfit, like prisoners. Each person was called upon to receive the mark and if you refuse, you would be beaten, your fingers cut and all sort of other things. They told me to seat and wait for my turn. As I did, I saw what they did to all those that refused to receive the mark, I was scared but there was no way I could run out. I was wondering why I didn’t just make heaven in the first place instead of having to go through this. When it was almost my turn, that same guy came back to me and asked me if I could see what others were going through. He said I could see that he wasn’t going to meet other people and give them second chances like he was giving me, that even though I rejected him, he still cared about me. He told me he would spare me all the pain and struggles and just give me the mark. I still said no, that I couldn't do that. Every other part of the dream is faint, can’t remember if I got out…I can’t remember what happened after his second request. I woke up and felt like i had ran all night, my chest was heavy, I was breathing so hard that l thought my heart would just fall out. The dream looked and felt so real, I just sat on my bed staring, I was wondering just how much I had ran in the dream if I could still feel my chest paining me real life. I sat on my bed for a very long time. I don’t believe bad dreams happen to scare you. I believe they are sort of a revelation, telling you of something that will happen if you don’t make efforts to change it. I believe that if God gives you a bad dream, it’s because that dream can be countered. But if you choose to do nothing about it, then it may come to pass. Most people have had such dreams. Pls tell us how it happened, your experience and the aftermath. It may go a long way in helping someone |
Thanks a lot. But concerning this: "it's questions like this that get you into trouble (speaking as a human. Cos I know that no matter how u try to contradict God, he'll still love you. But don't continue in it). " Is it wrong to ask for clarification on something i don't know but would love to know? You making it sound like am committing a sin or something Jackeeh: Bvsteph it's questions like this that get you into trouble (speaking as a human. Cos I know that no matter how u try to contradict God, he'll still love you. But don't continue in it). That being said, let me point something out to you and others who are in doubt of God's will concerning healing. |
A preacher once said: "Some people are in the hospital on oxygen!....Tell me, has God not been good to you??" The people all responded: "He has been good!". The statement left me wondering, does it mean God has not been good to those in the hospital? 1 Peter 2: 24 and Isaiah 53: 5 reminds us that we are healed by the stripes of Jesus, by the wounds of Jesus. Also Matthew 9: 35 and other verses reminds us that, where ever He went, Jesus healed the sick. The question now is, Does God truly want everyone to be in good health? No matter what, i don't think Jesus healed every single person in all of the villages He went through. Just like the bible says in Deut 15: 11, that there would always be the poor among us.....is it the same thing with sickness? Would there always be those sick among us? 1. Is it God's will that everyone be healed? That everyone be in good health? Are some sicknesses not there to glorify God's name? If it's not God's will that everyone be healed of their sickness, then why did He tell us in 1 Peter 2:24 that we are healed by His stripes? Maybe it would have been "some people" are healed by His stripes...right? 2. If it's God's will that we are all healed from sicknesses...then why are there sick true believers around us? Why do pastors fall sick? Sometimes pastors who heal others, fall sick and pray about it till the end. Isn't it God's will for us that we all be in good health? Isn't God going against His word when believers fall sick and do not get healed? Why would a God that love us so much, stand by and watch His own suffer till the very end? 3. In sicknesses, I've always wondered where the place of drugs as a christian comes in. Agreed, i believe God gave the doctors the wisdom they use in prescribing and giving out drugs, but what if i choose to believe in my Father totally, on the grounds that God is the greatest physician and so therefore i do not need another one. Isn't trusting in drugs not an act of faithlessness in itself? In school then, sometimes our pastor would tell us that if we have, say a headache, pray and confess otherwise, and watch God heal you. You don't doubt your confession or start questioning if God can truly heal you and then later run to take drugs. Like the woman with the issue of blood and so many other people that God has healed, they didn't run back to the doctor for drugs, once God said the word, that was it....Is that not how true healing should be like?...Trusting God so much that you trust in no other. Why should we then run to visit a doctor or take drugs?.. When you have faith in God, where does having faith in drugs come in? |
demons, curses and stuff are being transferred. It's more than just a physical act AtheistD: How? What are the effects? |
Am not demonising it...that's the way it works kevoh: Stop demonising sex jor |
Amen, lol ifex370: LORD plz gimmi d will power to hold my kini kini till marriage |
Am not talking shit. It's fact. Sex is highly spiritual desdichando: niggers and talkn shiiittttt |
Must you believe in sun for it to shine on you?....it affects everyone AtheistD: What do you believe? Also, what about societies that don't believe in demons? Are they affected by such? |
Is that not how it works? AtheistD: Good question... why pray at all? With faith prayer is irrelevant... right?? |
I have two questions. Here's the first 1. A week long revival just ended in my church. And you know how revivals can be, we come today and ask for the exact same thing we requested yesterday and the day before and last week, last month, years ago and all of that...where exactly does the place of faith come in? Aren't we all supposed to pray once and believe that God who isn't deaf in any way at all, has heard and answered our prayers? Pls continue 1 Thessalonians 5: 17 says: pray without ceasing There is also the story of the persistent widow who didn't stop asking until something happened, if she stopped, her situation would have remained the same. There is the story of Paul that kept asking for a particular thorn in his flesh to be taken away and so many other instances. The point am trying to make is, praying persistently over an issue is biblical, afterall Daniel prayed for something, God sent the answers to his prayers, but the Prince of Persia held it. Daniel had to pray again before the answers to his prayers were delivered to him. (Check that out in Daniel 10:11-13) If Daniel had not been consistent then his answers would not have been given him. But in being persistent in prayers, don't we push away faith? Isn't God more eager to answer how prayers than we even are to pray? God says whenever we ask for something we should believe that he has answered it and it's done. But how can we believe He has heard us and still consistently ask for that same thing from him tomorrow? Isn't that contradicting our beliefs? But apparently according to the bible we are to both. How can we draw a balance between carrying out both acts and not contradict the bible? Hope you grab the question? Question 2. They say when you have sex with someone all of the demons and evil stuff is transferred to you. When you have sex with another, another round is transferred to you, because sex is spiritual. So imagine as a guy every girl you have ever slept with has 5 demons. And say you slept with 10. So automatically you have 50 demons inside of you. When you eventually get married...do those demons transfer to your wife too, since you guys would obviosuly have sex, and you are now of one flesh? Does your wife automatically posses the 50 demons too? Or they all vanish from you immediately you get married? |
They asked this question in church today, but they didn't answer it. I was wondering what the answer was, so i decided to ask you guys. What character trait is worse to posses towards a person, Hatred or Malice? I would have said both of them are one and the same, but they are not. You can keep malice with someone and not hate the person. At the same time you can hate a person but not keep malice with the person. Personally, i would say malice is worse, for a very weird reason....because of Romans 9:13 which says, "...‘Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.’" I feel if God could hate...then, maybe it would be a better quality to have than malice. Yea, i know it's a weird way of looking at the question, but that's what i think sha. While both qualities are quite terrible, but in general, which would you say is the worse to posses towards a person and why? |
Wow! Thanks a lot for the detailed explanations! Jackeeh: ANSWERS |
Let me give a brief summary of Numbers 22. The Israelites were on their way to the promised land, on foot obviously and they were travelling through countries. When they want to pass through your country they would inform you before hand that they are about passing your territory and you should let them pass. If you don't reply favorable, the Israelites would most likely come, conquer the land and take it away from you, killing all in it. They would settle there until they are ready to move to the next city....they kept on like this The Israelites reached the plains of Moab, and the king of that place was Balak. Balak was terrified that they would kill him and take over his land too. So he sent for a certain man called Balaam. Normally, if Balaam curses you, you are cursed and if he blesses you , then you are blessed. God however told Balaam not to go anywhere with Balak's people. So Balaam told the people Balak sent, that he can not follow the King and go and curse Israel . However, Balak sent more people a second time to plead with Balaam. And that night, God came to Balaam and said he should go with them this time around, but however God told Balaam that he should do only what He tells him to Questions 1. Who exactly is Balaam? The bible never said he was a prophet and some claim he is a seer and a diviner who sees things and God just used him.....Is this true? 2. If Balaam was just a seer.....why did God use him? Balaam conversed with God like he knew him as a personal friend....as if they go way back....Does this mean God can also use Babalawo to help us in times of trouble, since God can speak through them...? 3. Vs 20 says, "That night God came to Balaam and said, ‘Since these men have come to summon you, go with them, but do only what I tell you.’" While Vs 21& 22 says, "Balaam got up in the morning, saddled his donkey and went with the Moabite officials. But God was very angry when he went, and the angel of the Lord stood in the road to oppose him......" Why? Why did that happen? God categorically told Balaam to go with the men the king sent. Balaam was following God's instructions here, so why did God turn against him and almost killed him?? |
Has your tomorrow been proved scientifically? Yet does that mean it would not happen? Apatheist: It hasn't been proven scientifically. |

Was really hoping someone would help me out.....pls
