NA say they lost 23 men. Twitter journalists say it is over 100. BHT video shows about 10 soldiers dead or killed.

Moral of the story- In this season of politics, unofficial sources are invested in casualty figures and should bedisregarded.
The military is economical with the truth, that is understandable though but we shouldn't blatantly deny the death of our soldiers. The video of BHT attack you watched was not that of Melete but zari did'nt you also watch the video a soldier posted claiming that over 100+ of their battalion have being wiped off after the unfortunate incident?

To the soldiers that paid the ultimate price;

We both left home at 18.
You cleared JAMB
I got recommended.
You got UNIVERSITY,
I got NDA.
You pursued your degree,
I had the toughest training.
Your day started at 7 and ended at 5,
Mine started at 4 till 9 and
Some nights also included.
You had your convocation ceremony,
I had my POP.
Best company took you and
Best package was awarded,
I was ordered to join my platoon
With 2 stars piped on my shoulders.
You got a job,
I got a way of life.
Every eve you got to see your family,
I just wished i got to see my parents soon.
You celebrated festivals with lights and music,
I celebrated with my comrade in bunkers.
We both married,
Your wife got to see you everyday,
My wife just wished i was alive.
You were sent to business trips,
I was sent on line of control.
We both returned,
Both wives couldn't control their tears, but
You wiped her but,
I couldn't.
You hugged her but,
I couldn't.
Because I was lying in the coffin,
With medals on my chest and,
Coffin wrapped with tricolour.
My way of life ended,
Yours continued.
We both left home at 18.
I dedicate this to every soldier and uniform person out there,
especially those recently attacked and slaughtered by Boko
Haram in Borno. May God comfort the families you left behind
Nice, but try and acknowledge/reference the author next time.

Mr Garba Shehu claimed that our Service Chiefs attended an event by mistake. He meant that about 3 Military Major Generals wandered around and landed in a political gathering by error? You see why they haven't defeated BokoHaram?

To those who do not know what they are about to go into, If you are joining the army because of lack of jobs, think twice. It is a profession in which you might pay the ultimate price at any point in time.

This is Capt. Zakari Sani.

He got ambushed alongside his soldiers few months back in Benue by terrorists,he is the only surviving soldier, the first hospital he was taken to carried out wrong surgeries on him, they couldn’t even identify the problem...
Thread:
For months he is not responding to treatment,he was later referred back to Ceda crest hospital in Abuja by the Army, where he is currently bed ridden, still not responding to treatment thou it’s a better hospital, his relatives where advised to take him out of the country. All efforts to fly him out were in vain because Nigerian army refused,A family friend who is a Federal Member representing Sabon Gari Constituency, Zaria decided to speak to the Chairman, House committee on Defense, there is still no positive result, this guy is dying.
Please Nigeria Army you might have protocols of treating your soldiers abroad, but Zakari is not responding to treatment here, don’t allow this innocent soul to die,he got a bomb attack in Maiduguri 2014,it took you guys one year before taking him to India, don’t repeat same mistake

Be Motivated
I dream,
I wrote the dream down,
I sleep the dream,
I wake up with the dream,
I eat the dream,
I rehearse the dream,
I look at the dream,
I talk about the dream,
I wear the dream,
I pray the dream,
Surely the dream is gonna be a reality.

As people much wiser than me say, "Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement". I've already gotten my kits ready for the interview and my chest tag will be AB 5.

Mehn!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love your positive mindset/spirit, your moral is roof breaking and a source of inspiration to others alike. How I wish the army authorities are viewing this wonderful thread, many guys here would have being given automatic "SLOT" I swear. Its refreshing to know that there are still youths patroits out there willing to serve there country selflessly without any shred of fear. Kudos once again bro, we will all get there by God's grace.

GenAnsahCinC:

I said 'former'. Meaning, if he wants to join to serve then his question about who seniors who is irrelevant since his aim is to serve.

At this stage, these are the kind of questions I expected of him:

1. What should I do and not do in order for my name to be shortlisted?

2. What items can I go to the screening with along side the required items?

3. What and what will we be tested during the medicals?

4. What should I do before, during and after the 3.2km race?

5. What is the psychological test like? The written and verbal test.

6. What is the command task like and what are the tips to scale the command task?

7. How many push ups and sit ups are we expected to do and what is the time duration for each?

8. What are the questions we will likely be asked when facing the panel?

NOTE: some times the panel ask questions outside ur scope. Some questions could be so funny and what u least expected. And at this point, what matters is how u answer the question and not if ur answer to the question is correct or not..
My brother may God punish you with Longlife and prosperity. Please you will be doing us alot of good if you help us with the answers of the questions you've raised, especially number 1. Abeg no leave this thread because of this 21st century maggots that discovered this thread not long ago. Consider the red cap Chiefs like myself, Ugo4u, Odinmba, veraiyke that have kept the thread going over the years., Thanks

If these guys don't open portal this year, then I'm afraid it will be 2020. Buratai and Buhari has efficiently dealt a blow to teeming youths wanting to serve their fatherland. Its quite a shame that under this regime recruitment for officer cadre(Army) was carried out just once.

Boss, don't be surprised if Mamman Daura rejects the sack, Sadly, his loyalty is to PMB. The person I pity most is that Moshood Jimoh. For a young officer to allow politician use him is really sad, the IG has 1yr max in that office but for a young officer like Jimoh what will be his fate when the opposition gets power back? he should have rejected that appointment(PRO) if he knew wasn't gonna be professional like AVM Adesanya the former spokesman of NAF very professional to the core, infact during his time in office the NAF media team was taken to a higher pedestal lots a information and videos about NAF operations was constantly released to inform the public and also help push propaganda against the terrorist. Now the man has being sent to Germany which is promotion for me. Why e be say Police matter for this counry they always get k-leg? the people that cursed the Police force really wicked.
Badt guy where are you getting all this inner caucus information sef?

For now indians have not perfected the turbine engine yet.
Jet engines are one of the most challenging and complex machines ever made…they are really engineering marvels.Best fighter engines are produced by only a couple of companies in the world with decades of experience.
Though there are tests going on( GTRE GTX-35VS Kaveri) but they haven't broken even yet.

JF-17 is a copy of the MIGs, aerospace engineering is not as easy as many of us see it. Most countries do collabo to produce even an engine talk more of aircrafts. But that being said I think Nigeria can do better than mere importing, we should go into joint research with other nations.
This thread is very rich I swear, lots of educative stuff kudos to you guys. Don't let it die.

Like play like play Buratai wants to go down in history as one of the worst COAS NA has produced. Only one commissioning under his stead Haba. Make the man kuku resign na since Bubu is hell bent on keeping him despite the seemingly cluelessness. They keep extending his stay to the detriment of officers of other courses. Since 2016 ooo no recruitment (officer cadre)and no plans for one, Haba.

Brethren cry no more, forms will be out by may/June latest, its confirmed budget delay is the cause of the delay in the release of forms. From an impeccable source from force headquarters, the informant said this year's exercise will be massive and thorough, for all the tramadol/codeine takers and other substances abusers you have 1 month to cleanse ur system of every rubbish.

Thanks baba and that will be under DSSC and they won't be more than 7 highest per state the major thing is they should just release the form.
Never be too sure Oga. Previously Army don't take more than 4 candidates per state with reserve. But as time went on things changed they systematically increased intake, mind you Buratai sometime in 2016 said in a public fora that the army is set to recruit about 80k personnel in 8years.
Anything can happen, last year Air force passed out the highest number of enlisted airmen/women in its history (3000).
