Elections go beyond individual candidates but to their #Party values, principles and believes. No single individual runs a constitutional democracy and as we go to the polls, I encourage us to quickly reflect on the past to make a sound decision. I'm progressive in thinking and a believer in social democracy. I've watched the PEOPLE'S democracy become SOME PEOPLE'S democracy and the umbrella that was supposed to cover all of society became so small that it could only cover few interests at the detriment of society. This was obviously not good. We all wanted #Change in 2015 and we got it. Nobody said change will be easy. It wasn't easy for S. Korea, Singapore or China but it is required for progress. We are in our wilderness right now and Pharaoh wants us back. I'd rather forge ahead with #PROGESS than to go back to the one who wants to #GetNigeriansSlavingAgain Yes! Nigeria has over an age old problem with leadership but that's not all. We also have a quick fix mentality. This is why we have more miracle centres than R&D labs in Nigeria. We've had a Dr. GEJ lead Nigeria and we said he was too weak. Then we got a tougher leader, now we call him a dictator. Even if we get a businessman from Cameroon, we'll still blame him for selling Nigeria to his friends. Individuals will always have their weaknesses. But it does not change their intentions. This is why I look at policies and teams. I'm grateful to have people like Yemi Osinbajo and Raji Fashola to learn from. I believe in an inclusive and progressive Nigeria for ALL not just a nation for the young people. Nigerians are resourceful people capable of complimenting the weaknesses of leaders. We do it with our religious leaders who share similar believes. I have made my decision. I'm for #Progress! I will support them and hold them accountable for results. With the wisdom of the elders and the strength of the youth, we shall build a Nigeria where #NoOneIsLeftOut. We are all #MadeForNigeria.

Nigeria has the largest population and economy in Africa but a capital market smaller than that of South Africa (about a quarter of our population). That is obviously a question mark. Over the years we have built a market economy that encourages everyone to save their surpluses in commercial banks who mostly give credits to a select few. A system where the market woman who wish to expand her business is not creditworthy enough to access loan from her bank. This is obviously a market failure but some free market ideologist said the government has to step aside and let the almighty Adams Smith's invisible hand take its course. Every progressive government knows when to come in and fix market failures and until our capital market is more inclusive, we will continue to do what is required for all of society to benefit. The kind of system that will give the widest range of people the greatest opportunity to make the most of themselves and their resources will be more sustainable for the long term. At this point in Nigeria, we'll not solve our problems by electing the right people into office.
