Politics / Re: Budget: Reps Approve ₦8.4tn Borrowing, ₦6.3tn Debt Service by byrron(m): 4:55am On Oct 07
Can someone explain to me the type of economics that is being practiced by the Nigerian government?

An economy with a proposed budget estimates totalling N19.76tn, with a deficit hovering between N11.30tn and N12.41tn in the 2023 fiscal year must definitely be a voodoo economic fiction taught in Jupiter where you learn how to borrow N8.4tn and use N6.3tn to services the debt?

Yet people are still queuing up to further elongate these absurdities with their votes?

I must first commend you for being responsible in a society littered with so many irresponsible people.

For you to have aquired a skill, monetized it and now earning in a foreign currency while in Nigeria speaks a lot of the potentialities in you and I'm super proud of you.

You have gone above and beyond by supporting your younger siblings that are still in school and also providing for your parents.

My candid advice to you is this, self preservation is the first law of nature.

While being altruistic is commendable but it shouldn't be at the expense of sacrificing your own happiness and life goals.

Have you considered, teaching your siblings in school the same skill set that generates income online for you as a freelancer?

Doing so will completely take away their dependency on you which at the long run will allow you to start saving up to actualize your own goals.

Once your siblings become engaged and start earning, they will also support the family needs as well instead of you alone shouldering the responsibilities of an entire soccer team (family).

Duplicate yourself by teaching your siblings what you do that generates income (Teach them how to fish) and the overly dependence on you will gradually reduce to the level where you can still support the family and also save up to achieve your own set goals.

Do not despair since that's not a solution.

Wishing you the very best in all of your life endeavors.

Is there any unknown football rule that can be used to banish Harland from the EPL?

I thought he was going to struggle with EPL teams but dude has made EPL teams look so mediocre and if he continues at this rate, he may end up having a league of his own.

I wished my club succeeded in signing him when we attempted to sign him in the previous transfer market but ended up getting scammed by signing a big fish in a small pond.

Pls I need a mentor on this kdp stuff am totally new and want to explore my chances.

Before seeking for a mentor, what personal efforts have you made towards researching or reading about what Kindle Direct Publishing is all about?

Are you going into it with the right mindset and willing to commit towards learning, implementing what was learned and staying committed?

KDP is serious business and it has it's learning curve just like every other businesses out there.

It is a digital real estate that is also very rewarding at the long run when done rightly but again, there is no overnight success in this business model.

Do a self appraisal and determine for yourself if you have the right motive and mindset to embark on this self-publishing journey.

Wishing you the very best.

Madonna?!?!?!?!?!?

If only these kids on Nairaland knew who we're talking about here, you'd know this is a big deal. It doesn't even matter if you're her fan or not, Madonna's dominance in the music industry back then is comparable to that of MJ and her influence can still be felt till this day. So to a musician like Rema, meeting Madonna and getting compliments from her is huge. It's like a painter meeting Leonardo DaVinci. Leonardo may not mean anything to you, but he definitely means everything to an artist.

Bro is there like a limited or minimum number of pages or words one should note before publishing? I just finished writing and I feel it is too small or something.. 3 pages

All my my non-fiction books are 10 chapter's with a minimum of 30,000 words and a maximum of 35,000 word's.

This strategy enables me to price my books within $15 - $20 range which generates a royalty within the range of $6 - $8 / sold book.

This is one of the reasons I don't advise anyone to publish low content books because of the low royalty it generates and you will have to sell lots of low content books in other to start being profitable.

He is entitled to his opinion but his opinion is a monetized one garnished with primordial considerations that ain't altruistic in all ramifications.

Seems no lessons was learned by the mistakes made in 2015 by the choice of leadership that ended up crippling Nigeria and rewarding all those that sold an expired product to Nigerians that ended up inflicting so much hardship on them with another leadership mandate will be a classical attestation that "Truly Truly, suffer no dey tire Nigerians".

Get it wrong in 2023 by your choice of leadership and read the book of lamentations for the next 4-8 years.

Is cryptocurrency books highly profitable?

The answer to that question is by conducting a profitability research on that niche or keyword before venturing into writing a book on it.

You need to find out if the niche has a high demand with a low competition and if their are authority figures that have already published books on that niche.

There are other factors to consider as well that are not stated herein.

Which party did this in 2015 against a sitting president from another political party?

It was very ok to insult, assault, bully and even threatened to make Nigeria ungovernable then, and it was cool and very pleasant, so what changed now?

You introduce violence into the polity for your usage and then turn around to play the victim of what you once advocated for and implemented?

You rip whatever you sow in life.

Search for Paul Merles on youtube, devour all his videos on KDP and thank me later.

Many so-called mentors got their valuable information freely from great teachers like Paul Merles and package it for you for sale.

Paul is a go to source for anyone interested in making low content books but I tell people to run as far as their legs can carry them from making low content books.

Low content books are like gambling. You need to create a lot of them because you don't know the one that will generate sales and the royalty payment is so small, therefore you need to sell a lot to generate any meaningful royalty payment.

One well written non-fiction book will generate more royalty payments than 10 low content books.

I'll try my hands on a children's book or what other niche should I focus on? Thanks

This is why some self-published authors make zero dime. You don't jump into any niche because someone else is making sales on that niche.

You need to first determine the profitability of the niche, the demand for that niche and the number of competitors on that niche.

If the outcome of your research gives you a green light on that niche, then you can proceed to create a book on that niche.

Mine was the other way round. I start with high content ebooks, well researched topics. Just a single sales in many months. My breakthrough came when I started doing low content journals and notebooks. Sales upon sales. No going back since then .

The problem here is publishing without researching to find out if the niche is profitable with a high demand and fewer competitors, failures to do this will send all your published books to what is known as the book graveyard.
