Christianity Etc › Re: What Colour Is God? by Cadet(f): 3:12am On May 12, 2008 |
sugabelly: I know the book hasn't got that much to do with God but there's a part in the book where someone (I think it was the boy) asks his grandmother what colour God is, since they're black and looked down upon but they're supposed to be made in the image of God like everyone else, and his grandmother, not knowing what to tell him, (because whites control all the general propaganda) tells him that God is the colour of water. Since water is transparent, there is no racial oppression in her description of God.
At least that's what I get from it. Yea, you're right. Sad story, but it's a true story too! hmmm! Ile aye le! |

sugabelly: I've heard that's a fantastic book. And that is part of the reason that I asked this question. Not because I have a problem with what colour God turns out to be if he has a colour at all, but I want to reconcile people's perception of our racial differences with our perception of God . 'The Color of Water" has little to do with God, it's about a black boy that has a white mom with 12 other siblings . It's based on family issues and race. It's a very good book, I recommend it |

4 Play: A man with a flat belly isn't contented. You aren't doing your job as a woman. . .stuffing him with your high-calorie Nigerian food.
Pot belly on a man is a sign of contentedness. You will thank me for this insight in the future.Notice that only bachelors have flat tummies. My flat belly husband means am feeding him right. With the right amount of food. And he exercises and keeps in shape. he berra I'm sorry, I can't spend 20 mins alone looking for his kini under his potbelly |
