Omololu001:I really do think the hosting right will be withdrawn from Cameroon. Reason being that they have been given until September [this month] ending to complete some of major facilities which I doubt they'd be able to achieve that within the given timeline. |
In spite of speculation flaring over the internet just of late, The African football governing body Confederation of African Football is set to stripping the hosting rights for the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations 2019. CAF President Ahmad who is still in a dilemma whether to keep faith with the Cameroonian government as regarding their capacity to host the first 24-teams Africa Cup of Nations Championship. Although CAF said its had no interest or whatsoever to withdraw the tournament from the host [Cameroon] but they need to be extremely serious about hosting the AFCON 2019 and put all facilities in place or withdraw. Ahmad the CAF President was also quoted as saying: “You are ready, we are organising, you are not ready, it means that you are withdrawing yourself from this organisation." The African Cup of Nations 2019 is just 9 months away and the Cameroonian government are leaving no stones unturned as all focus and attention is beamed towards the 5 venues and 6 football stadiums that will host the African Cup of Nations matches in Cameroon. After the previous inspection from the African football governing body—Confederation of African Football—a couple days ago, a final approval stamp for Cameroon to remain the AFCON 2019 host after so much speculation over the last months that the hosting right for the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations might be stripped from them due to a couple misconception. However, so far so good, a couple stadiums has been unveiled by their respective construction company, while others are undergoing a major renovations.
