I hope u passed WAEC o.
Yoruba people will say 'ayemi o'

What does this part of the sentence mean:

'The Archbishop later revealed that the support offered to Lagos State.....

Does it mean they didnt give anything to the state government?

If u agree that they did, then am telling u that we are saying they shouldn't have(even though they gave to citizens)

U even had to tell us that all the parishes in lagos donated bla bla bla.

Was that written in the post?
Are we supposed to comment based on what u reveal to us or based on what the article wrote?

Go and read the post again!!

Calm your nerves down. No one is here to argue. I made reference to comments on Page 1 where people are asking why didn't they give them to Poor Parishioners instead of LASG.
Charity begins at home. I can tell you Poor Parishioners received relief package from Society of St. Vincent D'Paul at the start of the lockdown.
In addition to that, some other societies also shared relief packages to Parishioners before Easter. You may not see pictures online but it does occur in the whole Parishes in Lagos State irrespective of your religion. You can't decide who they should give donations to. After all the Poor Parishioners has been taken care of before now. If the lockdown continues, trust me the Archidiocese will share more food stuffs to the poor

I'm afraid at the kind of people we have in Nigeria. Read the article before you comment. Did we miss this part?

The Archbishop later revealed that the support offered to Lagos State Government was in addition to the provisions for the poor that he directed the over 180 parishes of the Archdiocese to make in their different localities spread all over the State. He commended the Priests and the faithful of the different Parishes for taking action on the directive, thereby revealing Jesus’ love of the poor in the provisions they are making for the people.

About 78 smaller parishes that could not afford to make the provisions without some support were assisted with various sums of money from the nearly 10million naira that was raised from the Archbishop’s Appeal to the faithful at the beginning of the lockdown. He expressed gratitude to the lay faithful who within a short period of time helped him to raise the money.

To the best of my knowledge, ALL Parishes in Archdiocese of Lagos including the Cathedral shared relief materials to every poor Parishioners.
