NO Imam, Pastor, Babalawo, Oba, Obi, Emir,
Hakimi, Lamido, Mai anguwa, Obong, Chief, Militant
etc can tell me who to vote for, NEVER!....
I bear the brunt of unemployment, not the
Pastor....
I suffer epileptic power supply, not the Imams.....
When my landlord increases house rent, the Oba
will not send me money to augment it.....
When medical bills needs to be paid, I won't see
the Obi....
When armed robbers show up in my neighborhood,
the Emir won't be there to rescue me...
When time comes to pay exorbitant private school
fees for my children because public schools that
produced the likes of Soyinka, Chinua Achebe are
derelict, no Militant will come to my rescue...
The roads leading to Obong's palace are bad, he
has not done anything about it, how can he help
me?
Exchange rate has plumeted while the economy
worsened yet the Babalawo suffers in silence with
me ad he is unable to use his juju to make our
economic problems disappear...
My siblings and the children of the Chief who are
graduates for the past 8 years have remained
unemployed while he is powerless to help them...
So I alone will decide WHO IS MAKING ME GO
THROUGH ALL
THESE HARDSHIP, AND USING MY PVC TO
TERMINATE HIS TENURE, IF I DON'T LIKE HIS POOR
HANDLING OF GOVERNANCE!

Edo prince to PDP: Stop using my Aso Rock visit for
political campaigns.
The crown prince of Benin Kingdom, Prince
Eheneden Erediauwa, has warned the Peoples
Democratic Party to stop using his visit to President
Goodluck to garner votes ahead of the general
election.
Prince Erediauwa, who urged the public to
discountenance the use of his pictures, images,
audio and video to campaign for votes, said he is
not a member of any political party.
The Benin Prince noted that his visit to the
Presidential villa as directed by his father, Oba
Erediuawa, was to douse negative comments that
the Oba does not support the government of
President Jonathan.
He stated that reference by some politicians (PDP)
to his father’s statement that “President Jonathan
will be given the opportunity to continue his good
work” was being misconstrued.
Eheneden said the prayer came to pass by way of
the President being nominated as presidential
candidate of the PDP.
The prince, who spoke in a statement signed by
Secretary to Benin Traditional Council, Frank Irabor,
said his father’s message was politically
manipulated by some self serving politicians in
order to gain upper hand in soliciting for votes.
The statement said, “The Oba of Benin is a non-
partisan traditional ruler who treats all politicians
equally and always pray for all those who are into
partisan politics and other ventures.”
Meanwhile, Royal Palace Chiefs led by the traditional
Prime Minister of Benin Kingdom, Chief Sam Igbe,
the Iyase of Benin, has reiterated that the Benin
Monarch has not endorsed any candidate for the
March 28 presidential election.
Chief Igbe, who read a communique issued at the
end of the Chiefs’ meeting, urged electronic media
houses to stop showing the prince visit to President
Jonathan.

Edo Govt employs Immigration tragedy victims
*One year after FG’s unfulfilled promises
Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has given
automatic employment to twenty victims of the last
Immigration recruitment tragedy of March 15, 2014
and also gave the sum of N2 million to the widower
and children of the late Mrs. Sandra Amu who died
in the commotion.
This is coming almost a year after the Federal
Government promised automatic employment to
those injured in the exercise and three employment
slots to families of those who lost their loved ones
in the recruitment fiasco.
Disclosing the employment offer during a meeting
with the family of the woman who lost her life and
eleven of the twenty persons who sustained injuries
during the ill-fated recruitment exercise held at the
Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City on
Saturday, March 15, 2014, Oshiomhole said “it is
unlawful for people seeking employment to pay
money. It is the employer who pays the consultant
and not the applicant. That transaction was mainly
illegal collection and it is extortion.
“I think it is important that people don’t exploit
office power to compound the problems of those
who are already down. What we can do, without
prejudice to whatever plans the Immigration
Services or the Ministry of Internal Affairs is making,
is see how we can assist in terms of employment.
“The government will also provide the family of the
deceased with legal representation so as to sue the
Immigration authorities for the loss of life. It is sad
that people are reckless with human lives and yet
go home to sleep. This is what we mean when we
talk about the culture of impunity, where people can
do anything and go free.”
He continued: “we are also going to offer the
graduates employment opportunities in our
Information Communication Technology Agency if
they are interested in that. In that case, we need to
take a look at their documents and they start work
by Monday 16th February 2015. However, if the
Immigration option opens up, you are at liberty to
move from one job to another”, he said.
Earlier, Coordinator of the group, Mr. Edmond
Osuma had told the governor of their challenges
since the Immigration recruitment exercise of March
14 2014 saying that since the incident happened, it
has been a serious problem for them getting in
contact with the Controller of Immigration.
He solicited the assistance of the Governor to enable
the group have access to the immigration
authorities and requested the governor’s
magnanimity to alleviate the hardship of the victims.
The victims told the Governor that while they paid
one thousand each, online, before going for the
recruitment exercise, they are yet to get a refund
one year after the tragedy.
