It was a week of harvest of awards for DannyTheProphet (DTP), a singer, Afrobeats and Highlife star whose real name is Daniel Osaro Asemota as he reaped massively by way of recognitions for his hard work, commitment and creativity.

These came after he signed a partnership on brand promotion and PR management with Abuja-based Amity Global Network.

He put up an excellent performance at Timaya Day Concert in Abuja, thrilling guests along with the host himself, the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa, Kcee, Peruzzi and other notable artistes.

This was followed by the National Unity Dance Festival 2025 with the theme, "Sustaining Unity Through Rhythm & Culture" at Cyprian Ekwensi Centre where he was honoured as Young International Artiste of the Year.

At the National Legacy Lecture and Nigerian Heroes Award 2025, he held guests spellbound with his musical performance, where he was also honoured as Next Rated Artiste of the year, a recognition that speaks to his rising profile in the music industry.

DTP’s journey into music began almost as early as his childhood. Raised by parents who were passionate music lovers, he was exposed to a wide range of sounds that shaped his artistic curiosity.

Since then, he has continued to record several exploits in the industry, beginning with his debut single, “Feelove”, on August 21, 2021, a record that garnered over 40,000 views on YouTube.

His follow-up single, “JOLLOF”, released on March 9, 2022, earned him broader recognition with more than 20,000 views and opened the door to a five-year distribution deal with Dapper Music.

Meanwhile, the recent plethora of awards has attracted congratulatory messages from fans locally and internationally as they say the recognitions are testimony to his outstanding skills and creativity in the world of music.

A business is built by competing. It creates value by offering better products, prices, or services, and it survives only as long as customers freely choose it. Regulation is accepted as part of the social contract, and failure is always possible.

A cartel is built by eliminating competition. It seeks profit through control, collusion, intimidation, regulatory capture, or barriers that prevent others from entering the market. Regulation is treated as an enemy, not a safeguard.

If Dangote is the corruption Czar he claims to be, Where was this energy when he was getting subsidized dollars from Emefiele. Who is the most corrupt Nigerian in modern times. Building a 750-Unit estate with stolen funds. Dangote did not report him to ICPC. They did business together amicably.

Dangote refinery was built on subsidized dollars. Every Nigerian is technically an owner in that refinery because national revenue was used to subsidize the dollar. In China, the government would have nationalized at least 30-40% of that refinery. Because the government gave you cheap dollars to construct it. Refinery was built with dollar at 350naira. But the government let him have the refinery without milking any concessions in petrol pricing out of him.Anybody trying to build a refinery today will have to do it at 1500naira to a dollar. There is no way you can compete with Dangote refinery. Instead of keeping quiet and eating his national cake. He also wants to go after all the the importers.
