At independence, we had semi-autonomous regions, who in their greed and power thirsty cancelled a political system that was working very well? Igbos through Ironsi.

Who concentrated power at the centre? Ironsi

Why was Ojukwu suddenly asking for devolution of power again at Aburi? The igbos lost out in the power play.

What was he looking at for 6months that he could not advise his kinsmen Ironsi to reverse his concentration of power at the centre? The Igbos saw it as an opportunity to lord it over others and which they were ready to fully take advantage of.

If there was no coup of the igbos of Jan 66 and concentration of power at the centre, there would not have been an Aburi Accord. You cannot eat your cake and have it back.
You are always a tribal bigot, every time Igbo this, Igbo that, them use Igbo swear for you, is it not Gowon that canceal the regional government

I am Igbo, I disagree with mightyhazell about Igbo leadership, because even if will get Igbo president today he/she will still work with the same old people unless Nigeria is restructured please, but Mr Rockhard, yes SE states may not be among the 5 economic contributors in Nigeria as you said, but that is not the way to measure the contributions made by the Igbos in Nigeria. The Igbos are the only tribe in Nigeria that in reality practice one Nigeria you may disagree with me but that is the truth and nothing but the truth. They are the only people that go in any part of this country called Nigeria help in the development of any area they found themselves no other tribes does that in Nigeria. The Yorubas will come to the SE do business at the end of the day he/she will repatriate their profit back to their respective states likewise the Hausas. Igbos will establish businesses, buy lands and build houses and the Igbos are well endowed with human resources and that is why about 80% of Igbo wealth are outside of the SE. Mr Rockhard, have ever sit down and imagine if just 50% of Igbo's investments in Nigeria go back to SE, just 50%. We as people are to blame for not investing at least 60% of our wealth in our area me included . Igbos have the highest percentage of middle class "ratio of the population" There is a reason for that.
Well said, Igbos believe in fairness, equity and true justice, they believe in one Nigeria which allow freedom of movement, Igbos are good in trade and commerce but when they migrate to bring expertise to less competitive areas of Nigeria they will begin to do well and that bring about envy and bitterness from the region they reside. For example Lagos,Igbos came with their money and invest it,build trade fair complex, ladipo market, Alaba international, computer village etc,yet those who see theirself as host are not happy

Shut up your smelly mouth, why not reject monthly allocations to your region, and tell your leaders to do the needful instead of constituting nuisance everywhere. So you want to troop to other region and still want biafra. 2faced people
Unmannered silly comments, reject monthly allocation in one Nigeria, why not the FG stop killing them and allow Biafrans to have self determination, so that they can forge ahead with their policy.

I don't envy people who consider drug dealing 1st career choice!
I don't envy people who are the number one cause of bad reputation for nigerians.
I don't envy people who sell death in the form of contraband, fake medicines and goods to Nigerians
I don't envy people who can sell their parents and children for money!

The average iboman is a cancer to Nigerians and they should be dealt with before they completely damage Nigeria globally!

Buhari, bring back death penalty for ibo drug dealers like you did in 1980s
And yet you are dying to practice one Nigeria with them and for them they no send your one Nigeria.
Igbo people commit all the crime in Nigeria, good let them give them Biafra.

A lot of people on Nairaland have comprehension challenges.

All the issues raised by Sanusi had been there long before Buhari came to power.

Did major spending on recurrent expenditure rather than capital ,start with Buhari? NO.Could the trend be reversed within 2 years? No.Not even withing 4 years!

Was the bulk of the N4,7 trillion debt incurred during Buhari's government? NO.

Sanusi did recognise the fact that the drop in oil price contributed to our current predicament, decline in economic growth..Was this within Buhari's control? No.

Sanusi was referring to the FG(Past and present) and not BUhari as a person.

Those wishing death for Buhari might not even be around before the end of his tenure!
But APC know all this and promise heaven and earth for poor masses in Nigeria. They must do the magic oooo or they catapult theirself out, they are just bunch of hungry power mongers without brain.

We are very grateful for the likes of Emir SLS, a Fulani positively criticising the government lead by a fellow Fulani. In GEJ's time, no IJAW raised a single voice against all the evil deeds of GEJ. They were all applauding him as if he was a saint. Sheer tribal support will lead us no where. We must speak truth like SLS and other northerners has been doing no matter whose ox is gored. Tribal solidarity will lead us to pit while patriotism will promote us.
Who told you that Ijaw people did not criticize GEJ,former governor of Beyelsa state did so and have issues with GEJ,some of you guys like tribalism and painting others black.

A thief is a thief regardless of tribe or colour. Now listen to this: The South West or if you like call it "Afonjas" didn't cry this much when the South East voted in support of Shagari in 1979. The problem with you guys is that you nag too much. Perhaps, I should add this too: No tribe is benefiting more from this situation we have found ourselves in this country more than the South East. Want to know how? You guys are "killing" us by inflating the prices of goods while shouting Buhari!!! Buhari!!! Buhari!!!
If they didn't cry much, what send Awo to his ancestors huh huh huh,.meanwhile Obasanjo was voted by SE but was rejected by SW.SE also rallied for Abiola and voted for him, when will SW vote for a candidate from SE.
