jay bee: What's the justification of the higher salary in naija though? The friend that I'm talking about started the job about 4 years ago and someone of same level with same/similar company def won't earn more than <£45K over here.
To think i've got over 7 years experience and still don't earn 18M damn. I need to relocate mehn,I don tire.
What's the way out with d NYSC thingy though? Exemption cert?
TKB hook your boi up nau guy uk is a joke. i have calculated it. to earn an equivalent of 20 / 24million naira in the uk u will need to be on an annual salary of about £150k (before tax) even David Cameroun earns around £140 why u no come do NYsC na. i made sure i did the stupid thing before i zomed out of 9ja |

jay bee: Your old boss is definitely not telling u the truth. A mate of mine that just left my house on Sat works for exxonmobil as a facilities engineer earns about 18M per annum. i tot so too AjanleKoko: Your old boss smartly left out the other parts of his take home - the annual gbemus, like generator allowance, housing grant, etc, etc, which sometimes runs into tens of millions. For the oil boys, the monthly take home is usually nothing. They get all kinds of allowances and grants. Maybe the guy is on 30m or something funny, but only gets like 12m as regular salary. The remaining 18m is probably paid in bulk. is there a concept called bonus in d oil sector. this should be on top of all the benefits and is usually based on the performance of d company tkb417: i can remember my dream when i was in 300 level. I met someone who worked in pwC and he told me he earned around 120k and i was like mehn, only if i cna get 50k per month, ill be the biggest bobo
after NYSC, the 50 dream moved up a bit to like 110 and after a few years, your guess is as good as mine u guys are right o. its like d more u earn d more its not enough thats one of d reasons why i bonuses is particularly attractive |

tkb417: just come packaged with your accent and your 'beefed up' CV
if u do well, you'll get 20m at least
i no dey exaggerate definitely. so which sector pays the best really.( i tot it was the oil sector) my old boss in Mobil who recently retired told me his take home pay was just a little over 1 million naira monthly. and this guy was very high up the food chain in Mobil - - - well maybe he wasn't telling me the truth about his salary |

tkb417: SVP in Golmand Sachs?
ex Uniben? the chaps in Goldman NY are baggers!
expecially the 9jas there, den don clean out. Presently, the deals Goldman and Vine Capital are doing in 9ja will make some of those guys extra baggers
im still scheming to go there sha. if u sabi the way, help your bros ohhh guy don't be fooled by those numbers u see in the press. In other to earn those ridiculous bonuses in any IB in the UK or US u either need to be a trader or in top senior management. Regular guys like us earn very regular bonuses |

AjanleKoko: Most SMs and above in banks now earn 25m and above. GMs, EDs . . .you really don't wanna know. I personally know an ED that has an annual salary of N80m. Excluding bonuses, profit sharing, and other perks. Though IBs abroad earn far more than that. I know someone who's a SVP at Goldman in NY, and he is earning more than that ED. Jesus christ !! see why i said i need to relocate back to nigeria. I know a SVP earning around £300k minus bonus in my bank. that equates to around £13,810.00 after tax. (anyone earning above £100 gets killed by 50% tax here) converting £13,810.00 to Naira is about 3 million per month. Multiply that by 12 is about 36 million. If someone is earning 80 million as ED in nigeria. An equivalent in the UK will probably be earning close to about £500k this is crazy. |

with 750k a month u will probably live like a king.
since we have been told here that 90% of people in nigeria live on less than a dollar a day |
