web frameworks are getting simpler by the day

i played around with spring roa and grails a while back and was amazed at how simple web developement in java has now become.

i rememeber the evil days of Structs 1.0

From techy IT to business IT is an option i have nursed right from the onset of my career having figured out that techy guys have a career cap. As a techy chap, you will always be on the system working while some boss sits down and be deciding what you get, and when.

don't be too quick to jump ship and abandon your techy side.

sure there can be a cap on your career path when u are a techy but you don't necessarily have to hastely change early on in your career

i have seen some mentors of mine regret such move, u will be surprised how quickly u lose ur tech skills when u jump into biz

what i will advice is to align your tech skills around the busniess area u are interested in. that way u learn and improve ur biz skills whilst still technically strong
