Boss I don't intend to "down" your morale but please if you have anything to do with your passport in the near future say like 2 months time or even more... It's best you go to London and ask for the status of your passport if it's not looking anything positive cancel the whole application, get a tc come to Nigeria and do an express one with the right connect and funds you can get your passport in 5 working days. I don't mean to be rude but there is an issue regarding supply of passports

Now this is my scenario:
I applied for my Passport renewal and did my capture in London on October 20 2016 and even opted for a special delivery option to my apartment in the UK. Early this month I had to make an emergency travel to Nigeria for some issue that needed sorting so I applied for an emergency travel document which I paid £100 for due to their incompetence( not bothered about that anyway). Now I'm in Nigeria and I need to go back to the UK and I am currently stranded because I have no valid passport and I cant even apply for a new one because they said I have already captured in London. Please house who can advise me on what to do as this is really frustrating.

This is a public service message and an advertisement of my services as a Copart
dealer.

I started attending Copart auctions earlier this year and I must tell you, Nigerian Car
Dealers are very active there. Recently I attended one of their online night auctions
which began at 9PM and surprise, surprise: Nigerian car dealers were at that one too,
logging in all the way from Lagos. 9PM here in the East Coast would have been 2AM in
Lagos.

To join in the action, there are some important things you need to know:

1. Do not buy any car from Copart unless it says "Runs and Drives". Almost all the shipping
lines in the US have stopped accepting non-running vehicles. So if you buy a car that does
not run and drive, be prepared to ship it in a Container (which can be usually $500 more
than shipping RORO).

2. Do not buy a car that is seriously damaged even if it runs and drives. Most US shipping
lines will reject such a car. Even if you decide to put it in a container, US Customs may
reject the container if they discover fluids (eg petrol, engine oil etc) leaking from the car.

3. All Copart auctions are now done online. Do not bid on a car blindly. By that I mean,
do not bid on a car that you have not researched properly. For some unknown reason,
Copart does not indicate whether a car has automatic or manual transmission on their
website. Without proper research, one can easily buy a car with manual transmission
accidentally.

4. Do not attend an auction with only one car in mind. If you do, you will either over-pay
or come home empty-handed. For instance, if you wish to buy a 2007 Toyota Camry, do
not go with only one in mind. Make a list of at least 5 that suits your needs. If you miss
the first one, you might get the second or third and so on.

5. Unlike Manheim, Copart does not charge a flat fee. The fee you pay after you win a car
will depend on the price of the car. For instance if you win a car for $450, you will pay
an additional $670 in fees. So bear that in mind when bidding.

6. Before you bid on a car at Copart, get your money ready. They require full payment within
3 days if you win. If full payment is not made within 3 days, they will start charging a
$50 late fee.

7. Before you bid on a car, have your transportation ready. Copart requires buyers to
remove their cars from their premises 4 days after the auction. From the 5th day, they
will start charging a $20 storage fee daily. No exceptions.

8. US Customs will not allow you to ship a car without title even if you show them all the
payment receipts. Copart sells some cars without title and others with "pending title".
Pending title means that the title is not with Copart and you may have to wait up to 30
days to receive it. So before buying a car from them, know the title status.

9. Before buying a car from Copart or any auction for that matter, make sure the car
is close to a Port. If you buy a car in states like Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, etc,
it may cost up to $1000 just to take it to Port since those states are not close to any
major exit Port. Instead, look for cars in states like New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania,
Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Virginia etc which are close to major Ports.
