A heartless has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder after he carried out a horrific mass stabbing at a birthday party of a 3-year-old girl in Boise, Idaho.

30-year-old Timmy Earl Kinner Jr of Los Angeles stabbed nine people at the birthday party on Saturday, including six children and three adults. Eight of the victims survived, but the 3-year-old birthday girl Ruya Kadir died, according to reports.

The attack reportedly took place at an apartment complex which is home to many refugees.

According to police reports, Kinner who is not a refugee temporarily lived at the complex until he was asked to leave on Friday. He returned Saturday when the girl was having her birthday party and started attacking people.

Speaking on the unfortunate incident at a press conference on Sunday, Boise Police Chief William Bones, said: “Our victims are some of the newest members of our community. They’re victims of their past homes who have fled violence from Syria, Iraq, and Ethiopia. This was an attack against those who are most vulnerable our children.”

The suspect, Kinner who police describe as homeless has an extensive criminal record with charges ranging to reckless driving to sexual battery and gun and theft charges among others.

Police said they are yet to identify the motive by the horrific mass stabbing, but he has been charged with nine counts of aggravated battery and six counts of injury to a child and first-degree murder.

Still on the World Cup fever, there is nothing one would not see on the streets of Lagos, Nigeria.

It seemed like a partnership made in heaven when Nike released the official world cup kits for the Super Eagles National team squad, and weeks after the release (and Nike also stating it had run out of stock), the beautiful Kit has not stopped trooping into Nigeria and commercial jersey sellers have surely been cashing out.



The only point to note here is that the Authentic Nike Made Jersey had a price tag of N41,000+, a price which Nigerians were not so happy with and it prompted the entrepreneurs from Thailand and our very own Aba to make their version of the Original Jersey.

National leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Bola Tinubu, has said that President Buhari deserves a second term in office as he has kept his 2015 campaign promises to Nigerians.

Tinubu said this while giving an address at the official conferment ceremony of the award of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR) on the late MKO Abiola yesterday Tuesday June 12th. He said he will work towards ensuring President Buhari gets a second term in office.

“Farewell to poverty, it’s not a question of a second term, you deserve it. We’re going to work for it, no annulment of it, we are going to win with you. It’s the struggle of Africa to banish poverty. You are investing in education which is the greatest weapon against poverty. You’re feeding our children. Former Plateau state governor, Joshua Dariye, yesterday pleaded with Justice Adebukola Banjoko to temper justice with mercy as she handed him a 14-year jail term for diverting N1.1 billion from the state when he was governor.

Counsel to Dariye, Paul Eroko, pleaded for the court to temper justice with mercy as his client was misled by some persons.

“Appeals to your judgement do not succeed, we will fall on your mercy. The prisons are congested. They misled the governor, it is the bank, they said he didn’t have to present anything.” he said

Counsel to EFCC, Rotimi Jacobs, said Dariye did not deserve a light sentence because he “didn’t show remorse” and that a strong sentence would serve as a deterrence to those holding public offices.

“He is not remorseful, his case should serve as a deterrence,” Jacobs said.

At this point, Dariye said he wanted to speak.

“Have mercy, you are a Christian, your name is Jacob,” he said.

Justice Banjoko afterwards sentenced him to 14 years in jail without an option of fine. Dariye wept as she delivered her judgement.

Super Eagles confirm payment of bonuses ahead of 2018 World Cup

The Super Eagles squad have confirmed receiving their bonuses ahead of the 2018 World Cup tournament in Russia.

Some of the players confirmed the payments in an interview with KweséESPN.

“Yes, we have been paid,” one member of the squad confirmed. ‘Some of us who have accounts in England collected cash and paid it into their accounts by themselves.

“The rest of us just got bank transfers,” he added.

Back in November, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) signed an agreement with the players on a pay structure for bonuses, allowances and a share of the income from participation at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Under the agreement, the players were to be paid their qualification bonuses and share of the FIFA income in advance and are also due 30% of the NFF’s appearance fee from FIFA, which amounts to $2.8million.

According to reports, FIFA made an advance payment of $2 million, while the NFF says they raised $800,000 from sponsorship.

Each player reportedly got $10,000 per World Cup qualifying game, while head coach Gernot Rohr will be paid $15,000 per game and his assistants get $10,000 per game.

Nigeria will face Croatia, Argentina, and Iceland when the World Cup kicks off on the 14th of June
