OPEN LETTER TO THE SENATE Dear Senate President and all Distinguished Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I write to you with a heavy heart regarding recent events that have cast a shadow over the integrity of the Senate chamber due to budget padding allegations raised by Senator Abdul Ningi is deeply concerning. The suspension of Senator Ningi for three months raises questions about the Senate's commitment to transparency and accountability. Instead of resorting to punitive measures, I urge you to consider establishing a committee to thoroughly investigate the allegations. The Nigerian people deserve reassurance that their elected representatives are acting in their best interests. Over the years, the Senate's integrity has been called into question on numerous occasions. From allegations of misappropriation to controversial statements made by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, the trust of the masses has wavered. It is time to address these concerns head-on and restore faith in our National Assembly. I implore you, Senate President, to take decisive action to clear the air and demonstrate a genuine commitment to accountability. The people of Nigeria are watching, and it is imperative that we do not let them down. In solidarity with Senator Ningi for his courage in speaking out, I urge you to prioritize the investigation of this matter to uphold the honor and integrity of the Senate chamber. Sincerely, Peter Olasupo Concerned Nigerian

In the wake of the Kayefi news this afternoon on 32fm949Ibadan, I found myself making an unplanned visit to the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). En route with my colleagues, we unexpectedly encountered a group of impassioned youth demanding #Justice4Mohbad. The circumstances surrounding Mohbad's tragic death have raised important questions and sparked controversy, especially with the presence of video footages on social media. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba with stage name MohBad, a young artist with immense potential, met an untimely demise, and many are eager to see justice served. While some have been quick to point fingers, including allegations aimed at Naira Marley and his label, I've always believed in not jumping to conclusions prematurely. The complexity of this case suggests that a deeper truth awaits discovery. As investigations unfold, it is likely that hidden layers will come to light. Speculations range from connections to cultist kingpins, drug cartels, thuggery, and even assassination. While it's crucial for security forces to do their work diligently, it's equally important for us as a society to avoid hasty judgments. What has struck me profoundly during this period, from this afternoon till tonight, is the multitude of societal issues that often go unnoticed. Our youth, who have taken to the streets to demand justice for MohBad, are a reflection of deeper challenges. Unemployment among our youth is a ticking time bomb, and it's imperative that the government and political office holders urgently address this issue. The scenes of drug abuse, reckless driving, and prostitution among protesters point to a larger problem. These are not isolated incidents but symptoms of a broader malaise that needs to be tackled head-on. Justice for MohBad is a crucial step, but it should serve as a wake-up call. We cannot afford to ignore the plight of our youth, for they are the future of our nation. Addressing unemployment, providing education and skills training, and creating opportunities for meaningful employment must be our collective priority. In the midst of seeking justice for one young life lost, let us also strive to secure the futures of countless others who are struggling. Only then can we ensure a brighter, more prosperous, and safer Nigeria for all. #justiceformohbad #Nigeria #Government

These are the foundations of a prosperous and healthy society. 5. **Unity and Inclusivity:** Promote unity and inclusivity among all ethnic and religious groups. Nigeria's diversity is its strength, and it should be celebrated and protected. 6. **Infrastructure Development:** Prioritize infrastructure development, including roads, electricity, and clean water, to improve the living conditions of our citizens. 7. **Environmental Sustainability:** Address environmental challenges and promote sustainable practices to protect our natural resources for future generations.
