I agree with u. Kennedy might just bring excitement to our attack but what about his defensive duties? What happens when he comes up against the likes of Agueron Valencia, Zlatan, Mane etc? Then teams that enjoy set pieces like WestBrom?

His work on the flank is just to be the person that Hazard gives the ball and collect it back again in order to deceive defenders.

Even the sweet crosses he specialises on comes once in a blue moon. Players like Felipe Luiz and kennedy woulda always take on defenders and create the opportunity to cross the ball.. unlike Alonso that waits for space.

In defensive duties, he has Matic and cahill to thank.

Alonso is an intelligent player, no doubt.. but we need an upgrade.

Our weakest link is definitely Cahill. That dude cant defend for jack!

I listed Fab and Willian being on the bench, not because they can pplay in his position but I wanted to show u the calibre of players we have on the bench. Alonso has definitely not played alongside such.

Filipe Luiz didnt even last one season in the EPL, Kennedy can take on players and all that but what about his defensive duties? We already have loads of smaller players all over the pitch, thats where his presence comes to the fore....do u think we always have to rely on Matic,Luiz,Azpi (i'm not adding Cahill to that list) to defend us against set pieces?

Don't forget also that even though its not his debut in the EPL, its his first time playing in a big team and for me, he has done considerably well. Agreed we need another left back for competition but for now Alonso has done a good Job.





Maybe we shld get Van Anholt back. He's cheaper, knows the club, he's tall and likes going forward. Plus the kid is on fire

Alonso is a good player. He's playing in a team that has the likes of Willian/Pedro/Fabregas on the bench and to me he has done well. Its not just taking on ppl, he defends reasonably well better than Cahill and he also has the height advantage and presence during set pieces.
