franchasofficia:Why do you despise it? |
jaxxy:Most girls don’t know anything the intricacy of cars. They only know it is a Lexus. That’s all. 😁 |
mascot87:Correct! 😁😁 |
esthel:Thank you so much for the kind words. TikTok version is already in the works. |
Babatundehy:All the attributes you mentioned are absent in the Lexus IS250. 😁 |
The Good Side (Mitigating Factors) Before we pronounce judgment, let’s acknowledge the positives: • Reliability: Typical Lexus, won’t disgrace you and leave you stranded. • Style: Still looks modern 15 years later. • Luxury: Interior finish is sweet, lets be honest. • Price: Relatively affordable in today’s Nigerian used market. • Comfort & safety: Good suspension, airbags, solid body. So yes—it’s a sheep. But at least it’s a sheep wearing very fine wolf skin. ________________________________________ Closing Arguments The Lexus IS 250 is guilty. Guilty of deception. Guilty of fraud. Guilty of raising expectations and leaving its owners embarrassed on the highway. ________________________________________ Final Verdict ⚖️ This court finds the Lexus IS 250 guilty of impersonation and false pretense. Sentence: • 10 years in the garage of disappointment. • Permanent ban from drag races in Nigeria. • Community service cleaning the tires of the IS 350. If you want looks, peace of mind, and Lexus comfort, the IS 250 is your guy. But if you want speed, thrills, and bragging rights, save your money and get the IS 350—or just join the BMW cult. And remember, fellow Nigerians: Not every roar means danger. Sometimes, it’s just a goat crying in designer sandals. Court dismissed. 🚨 |
Exhibit A: The Illusion Sharp headlights. Quad exhaust pipes. Low stance. Wide haunches. A design that whispered “performance machine.” It looked like it could embarrass a BMW 3 Series. It looked like it could chase down a G-Wagon AMG on Third Mainland Bridge. It even sounded the part—the exhaust note is deep, bassy, aggressive. But when you press the throttle? 🥱 What you get is not a lion. Not even a tiger. What you get is a very stylish goat jogging in fine sandals. On the third mainland bridge at 3AM, a Corolla Sport will hold its own against this fraud. What if I told you that this car was summoned here before the Toyota corolla and the corolla got here first? ________________________________________ Exhibit B: Why Nigerians Love It From Ikeja to Lekki, Surulere down to Ibadan, this car was an absolute hit among young Nigerians. Do you know why? • Portable size: easy to maneuver on the road. • Sporty body design: looked sharp, modern, and aggressive and stylish. • Deep exhaust growl: made you feel like Vin Diesel/Paul Walker. • Luxury interior: leather seats, gadgets, paddle shifters. • The Lexus badge: peace of mind + street credibility and reliability. For many, it was the dream upgrade from Corolla, Camry, or Honda Accord. It was Lexus luxury, but without old daddy vibes of the ES. The only issue? It couldn’t back up the hype with speed. ________________________________________ Exhibit C: Performance in Court Let’s lay down the evidence: • Acceleration (0–100 km/h): Around 7.8 seconds. Respectable in 2007, but for a sporty-looking car? Big letdown. • Top Speed: About 225 km/h. Impressive on paper, but in reality you’ll need Lagos-Ibadan expressway at midnight, no police checkpoints, and prayers from your pastor. • Handling: Sharp steering, balanced chassis. It feels fast, which is why it tricks so many. • Reliability: Still a Lexus—less wahala than European and german rivals, if serviced right. So yes, it drives well. But speed? You are better off with a bmw from @bmw guy. ________________________________________ Exhibit D: The Rivals Let’s cross-examine the IS 250 against its competition: • Lexus IS 350: The big brother. Same body, but with a 3.5-litre V6 and 306 hp. This one is the real wolf. The IS 250 is just wearing wolf’s clothing and fooling itself. • BMW 3 Series (E90): The car the IS 250 desperately wanted to beat. But the BMW left it coughing dust every time. Ask @bmw if im lying. There was this saying I saw on reddit: “If you want drama and speed, buy a BMW. If you want peace of mind, buy a Lexus. If you want to pretend you have speed, buy an IS 250.” I cried that night. • Mercedes C-Class (W204): Not a drag racer either, but carried prestige. Park it beside the Lexus and you will see the wide difference. • Toyota Corolla & Matrix: Believe it or not, on Abuja roads, these humble Toyotas could embarrass the IS 250. Especially if the driver knows what he is doing. ________________________________________ |
Standing trial today is the Lexus IS 250, a proud descendant of Lexus from the second generation of the IS chassis. This little sedan car has been charged with obtaining a fast car certificate by false pretense. That is a great crime in the automobile world. There are irrefutable and concrete evidences that shows this car being disgraced and outpaced by average cars on the highway. The owners are furious and they want their money back! It simply did not live up to the hype. Before we proceed, let’s get to know the defendant. Meet the Defendant The Lexus IS lineup is the compact/small boy in the Lexus luxury family. In its second generation (2007–2010), the IS 250 came swaggering into the Nigerian market like a bad boy in designer shades. On paper, it looked promising: • 2.5-litre V6 (2GR-FSE) • 215 horsepower • 185 lb-ft of torque • 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters • Rear-wheel drive (or AWD abroad) • 0–100 km/h in about 7.5–8 seconds Not bad, right? The only problem I have with it is, it wore the face and body of a sports car, but under the agbada, it was still just a regular boy. |

It is furious, but it is not fast! It roars like a hungry lion, but sprints like a housecat! It growls like a beast but moves like a goat in sandals! It drives like a fast and furious car but Paul walker wouldn’t even walk with it. It’s quad exhausts scream "catch me if you can!" But sadly, most cars can catch it! It is a sheep that is fully cladded in wolves clothing! It also barks but it does not bite at all! Who is this fraud? It is a Lexus. The only Lexus that lied to me! ![]()

This is going to be a very interesting thread and I am going to contribute my quota to it. I am arguing for the c230 kompressor. I have never owned any car but I have been privileged to drive some. The c230k happens to be one of the modern classic Mercedes Benz cars I still admire. 1. The 1.8l four cylinder matted to the 5 speed gear still drives better than some modern models. 2. It is fuel efficient in its class and the supercharger provides a faster acceleration than even the 2.5v6 counterpart. Only the 3.2l v6 copy is faster. 3. The facelifted interior it comes with is sturdy and good looking. If you get a good and non abused copy, you will love it. Ask those guys in the north about it. I even have a picture of a clean one with over 300k miles. #passing the microphone to my bosses in the house. |
Cum4me:If you like speed and you want to eat your cake and have it, you can get a Lexus gs350. It’s an amazing and fast sedan. You can also try the infinity g35. Those cars are faster than the overhyped c300 and are reliable if not abused. Good luck chief… |
Ronzy1990:This is a very funny reply. NGL. 😂😂😂😂 |
CaptainWest1000:Only God can help all of us. What do you know about TikTok/Youtube automation? |
CaptainWest1000:Which one are you currently into? |
YouTube/Tiktok is making people millionaires. Jump on the trend now. I am focused on TikTok automation tho… |
This is one of the sweetest looking cars I have seen in a while.. |
That’s OUI. Located beside my darling Oau. Kindly find another university for your kid sir. Although, I am not currently apprised of the happenings in that school, I believe its name has been dented by the scandal. I sincerely hope your daughter’s “friend” is not the one behind the unshakable interest your kid has in that school. A father’s instinct is almost always right. Bless up!! 🙏 |
haggai247:Hey bro! I am also into YouTube/tiktok automation. Can I send you a dm? |
1Alex:I swear! A manual transmission matted to the ew10 will be better received. |
Congratulations ade! This is a big feat… |
This is very funny. My setup is over 1.5million and I still plan to upgrade next year. Shoot with what you have bro!! 😁😂😂😂😂 |
lekkys:Amen. You are welcome sir. 😎 |
A four cylinder bmw is a good buy if fuel economy is a top priority. Happy sales boss. |
banjicom:A professor in my faculty was using this cayenne back then. That was when I knew he was rich. Amazing car NGL. How reliable is it for daily use? |
nothingspoil70:I think the correct mode of compensation is to reduce the working years and increase their salary. Now, the teachers will have to work more for less. |
Wannabenz:Corolla is one of the most boring cars I have ever driven. It has no soul. I still dont know why people worship it. |
1delivery:Kindly check the title and read the thread again. Cheers.. |
Wannabenz:Thanks for this. A lot of people don’t know anything asides Corolla. |
Ladies and gentlemen, I would have loved to continue frying and exposing the corolla but, I have been notified that there are other cars outside the Car court and we must attend to their cases too. I will leave the frying and final judgement to you. Remember, you are the jury and what you decide is what stands. But meanwhile, chew on these questions. 1. Why must you spend over 6-8 million naira on that car? Did corolla use juju on all of you? Ehn? 2. Why must you follow the crowd? Why can’t you just stand out and be different? 3. Are you ready to inherit all the stigma and baggage the corolla comes with? Are you? 4. Lastly, do you think this car is worth losing your peace of mind or even your life for? 🔨 Verdict? The Corolla might not be the peace of mind you think. Let’s judge this car together. ⚖️ We remain Car court! On to the other car cases. Follow us on :Youtube | Instagram | TikTok | Twitter. |
