PoliticsRe: Just In: Student Shot Dead While Trying To Vote by cardiogram: 7:30pm On Feb 23, 2019

It happened when they were queueing up in the morning. The thugs just came and started shooting and people started running. The bullet hit him on the head. The guy didn't commit any offence. The residents got angry and decided to burn the ballot box and ballot papers. There was no voting in that polling unit today. Most of the polling units in Anyigba have been taken over by APC thugs and you can't vote for any other party apart from the APC, just because APC promised to give them motorcycles.
Now we know more on what actually happened. I think it's time Nigeria started keeping an eye on you people down there. There's just been too much happening lately down there and Nigeria is turning a blind eye as if your state is not part of Nigeria. If Nigeria won't do anything to keep this in check or punish the perpetrators of the act - then let the youth stay home whenever election comes because there will always be same outcome.

I understand Buhari is a man of justice. This I love and admire in him - that Nigeria still has a leader who has the true sense of discipline. But true justice is impartial; not even to yourself or your family. If he can't spread the discipline across the whole nation then he's just same as the cowards and bastards he's trying to wipe out.

Won he or lost - let him do something about these cases if he could. We would forever remember him for that. Corruption is not Nigeria's big problem. It is INDISCIPLINE. Indiscipline is the father of them all.

Glory to the fall. I pray we meet in the golden forest; where the trees and leaves are gold. RIP

No wahala I can't read. If you think the African culture would be wiped out think again.
Sorry for intruding bro. You're right, African culture can't be entirely wiped out. But African languages surely face threat of extinction. Pick 100 Nigerians for example, let them speak purely in their indigenous languages for 5mins, let's see how many of them could speak ten words without putting English into it.

I see they intend taking data from my thesis without referencing me.
I did this as my thesis for Msc (Igbo), my colleague did for hausa and yoruba.
"A front end machine to man communication system in Igbo language using text to speech synthesis, concatenation algorithms".
We expect that they reference us else they should be ready to go to court as we're taking it further for research in our PHD where we develop both the front and back end.

We where supervised by Prof Ibiyemi.

Thanks
