A lot of the issues we rush to a mechanic for are things you can actually diagnose yourself with simple checks.
Let me break down some common ones in a very simple way.


1. Rough Idling / Engine Shaking When You Stop
Before panicking, check these:
- Dirty throttle body
- Weak/bad plugs
- Vacuum leak
- Dirty MAF sensor
Most rough idling is caused by carbon buildup or weak spark, not a bad engine.



2. Car Jerks During Acceleration
Start with these:
- Coils
- Fuel filter
- Throttle body
- Plug issues
- Low ATF (automatic)
A proper scan usually points to the right area fast.



3. High Fuel Consumption
Most times it's caused by:
- Under-inflated tires
- Dirty injectors
- Bad O2 sensor
- Clogged air filter
- Wrong oil viscosity




4. Vibration at Certain Speeds
- If it starts around 80–100 km/h: wheel balancing.
